I'm very sad to be writing this review, as previously this vets practice was much better. Unfortunately my recent experience has left a very bitter taste. I now feel that these people do not see an animal in distress when you walk through the door, but £££££ signs. The estimated bill I was given straight away was £1900, including 2kgs of food for a 3 day hospital stay for my cat who weighs 4kgs and wasn't eating or drinking! I was also told I had to pay a second consultation of £150 as the first treatment option didn't work, so I had to go for the second option. For this I had to take my cat back. They new exactly what needed to be done, but I was told, and I quote ' if you want to drop him off that's fine, but if you want to speak to the vet you will have to pay £150 as he's very busy.' But obviously not very busy if you throw £150 at them. I was completely disgusted. And after all the tests they did they still didn't find out what had happened and why my cat was sick. Not a clue! They have put me off ever having another pet as I refuse to line the pockets of such greedy, opportunistic people.

This is simply the best vets practice around.Alba has been my vet for years and can never be grateful enough for all she does not only for my animals but most importantly to accommodate me with my crazy schedule.I had sadly both my dogs in on Friday and as always outstanding service.I don’t care on value for money as requested on this all I care about is my animals Special mention to the night lady Davina who was so kind as ever even with pick ups and drop offs at 4 am! A lovely new receptionist called Nicole who was so polite and helpful on the phone. Alba you do an amazing job with that practice Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the care you give my animals

Have used Medivet Mortlake for many years.Alba who is my main vet has helped get us through some terrible times with very sick animals.Trish the night nurse who is an absolute credit to Medivet as no matter what time of the night I have called she has always been so caring and compassionate. A big thank you to ALL the other vets who have been there for all my animals over the years.I would not trust any other vet in London apart from this practice. Cannot forget the many nurses out the back of the practice for the care they have also given to my animals. Carry on the great work Medivet Mortlake

Very good experience with an emergency. Seen straight away and the treatment was prompt, caring and very efficient. Very happy with the result and our dog was, as they predicted, back to being herself soon after. The only hiccup was the limited parking on a very busy road and getting out into the heavy traffic at that time of day. Still worth the 5 stars, however.

I called Medivets up for help with a stray cat and got unhelpful woman who was really rude, is the way to talk to someone who has concerns about an animals welfare and this not the first time l had to deal with a rude member of staff from Medivets. Try retaining your staff.

I have been using Medivet Richmond for over 10 years for the care of all my cats - they have always been polite, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I feel like my cats have always had the best care and attention given to them. I would happily refer anybody to use this practice - the bonus too of it being 24 hours in an emergency!

Do not try this vet if your pet is in trouble or needs vaccination. If you call, there will be no answer for hours! I was there, and I called the landline, but the phone was not ringing. The lady at the reception was sitting bored, and it was like that for over 20 minutes. When I asked at the counter what was happening, they gave me a stupid answer, saying I must have called the wrong number. Of course I had a correct number. Prices are higher than for a human clinic. Ridiculous. Strong advice to avoid this Medivet at Richmond.
