Healthcare plans include all essential preventative treatments your pet needs throughout the year: annual vaccinations and boosters, regular health checks, year-round flea and worm protection, and microchipping when clinically recommended. Members also receive a minimum 10% discount on all other veterinary care, 15% on dental care and save up to £280* annually compared to paying for these services individually.
Signing up is straightforward. Visit your local Medivet clinic or contact them directly. A member of the team will discuss your pet's needs, recommend the most suitable plan, and complete the registration. You can start benefiting from your plan immediately. Payment is taken monthly by Direct Debit, making budgeting simple.
All healthcare plan members receive a minimum 10% discount on treatments and procedures not included in the plan. This includes surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and emergency care. Dental work is subject to 15% discount. Your vet will always discuss treatment options and costs before proceeding.
Medivet Healthcare Plans operate on a 12-months subscription basis. We recommend keeping your pet on the plan year-round to maintain continuous preventative care. Contact your clinic to discuss any changes to your plan.
Your Healthcare Plan is registered at your local Medivet clinic. If you need to visit a different Medivet location, contact your home clinic first to discuss transferring your plan or arranging temporary access at another clinic.

A nose-to-tail health check is a routine veterinary exam for a pet that appears healthy. The goal is prevention: catching problems early and monitoring overall health as the animal ages. It is not intended as an examination for a pet presenting with a health issue, be it a new or ongoing medical condition. Health issues require a consultation with a vet which is chargeable at our standard rate, with the exception of pets on the Unlimited Medivet Healthcare plan. Please contact your local Medivet branch if you would like to know more about the Unlimited Medivet Healthcare plan.
On the Medivet Healthcare Plan, each pet is eligible for two health checks per year: One at the time of vaccination and then an interim year health check, this ensures the pet can be assessed roughly every 6 months to ensure its health status. Health checks may be performed by a vet or a nurse.
Yes! For an additional £14 per month, you'll have access to unlimited consultations at your registered clinic. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details or contact your local practice.
For clients already on Medivet Healthcare Plan wishing to join our Unlimited Plan please contact your registered clinic. They will cancel your current Healthcare plan with no cancellation fee and set up a new plan for the Unlimited.
No, the half price discount on long term medication is available on both plans.
Long-term medications are those prescribed to treat chronic conditions and are typically required for your pet's lifetime. You can view the full list of eligible medications on our website.
