I am originally from Italy, where I studied at the University of Bologna before moving to the UK. I started working in a busy charity and then joined the Medivet family at Watford. I have always loved surgery, and achieved a Postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2015 and an Advanced PG Certificate in Orthopaedic surgery in 2019. Outside work I love travelling and sports in general such as climbing and kayaking. I also have a very sweet cat at home called Marcella, and a very cheeky dog called Bruno.

I qualified from Liverpool University in 2007 and went on to gain my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Small Animal Medicine in 2014. I am one of the main consulting vets in Watford but also perform a lot of ultrasounds and imaging. I really enjoy talking to owners and helping their pets when they come for a heath check or if they're poorly. I know personally how much our pets are part of the family; my children and I dote on our two rehomed stray cats, Sebastian and Pulga.

I also enjoy abdominal Ultrasonography. I spend my spare time at the gym, baking, and walking my terrier cross Bernie.

We’ve been clients at Medivet for years, and our experience with Seyon in Watford has truly been the best! From the moment we walked in, Seyon was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thorough. He answered every question we had with patience and impressive knowledge, showing a clear passion for animal care that made us feel our cat was in the best hands possible. His warmth and professionalism set him apart, and we left feeling grateful to have such a dedicated vet. Highly recommend Seyon to anyone looking for exceptional care!

I cannot thank the amazing team of vets, nurses and reception for taking the most amazing care of my dog. Peach was in hospital for 3 days and really got the most wonderful care. I got lots of updates and even photos of her. I’m so grateful for the level of care and compassion I received from each team member. A big thank you to Ines, Emily, Holly, Kat, Leske and everyone for keeping me updated and calm whilst I was so worried about my dog. You guys are fantastic and I’m ever so grateful!

There are some brilliant vets here who we value however recently it’s never possible to get an appointment on the day they will only offer emergency out of hours so we do now also use other vets elsewhere who can accommodate the unexpected things pets do. It never used to be like this but it does feel as though it’s become more about money making since the refurbishment which is a shame. Some of the receptionists are rude too while others are lovely it’s always pot luck if you can get an appointment and who you see!

took our dog in as she was vomiting blood, not eating or drinking and lethargic and was told we would have to "come back later" as we had not booked an appointment. the lady at reception was absolutely no help, rude and had the attitude that we were bothering her by even being there. we were already stressed with the condition of our dog and were met with absolutely no empathy or care and completely disregarded. honestly believe that woman should not be working on the desk at such a place. she seemed miserable and like she hated her job. the quality of care at medivet has gone drastically downhill. all they seem to care about is money.

Appalling service recently when my girl had a spay. She was there from 9:15am until 11pm at night. I had no updates apart from at 3pm when they told me that the surgery hadn’t gone ahead yet due to emergencies (which is understandable). I was confused why they hadn’t told me earlier as I could’ve taken her home and returned when they were ready but understood they were probably busy. They gave me two options. 1 was to pick her up and return tomorrow and the other was she would be able to stay and have it that evening, I went with the latter in fear of the same would happen again the next day. From then on I heard nothing. I phoned up twice asking for an update (as a worrying pet dad) once at 5:30pm and once at 7:30pm and both times I was told they were busy and couldn’t update me but they would phone me back. By 8:30pm I was over run by worry so I rang again and I was told the same thing again. I asked if I could get an update, I understood they were busy but I was worried about my dog, I didn’t even know if she’d had the operation at this point! The receptionist got very short with me and told me very abruptly that she couldn’t tell me so they’d phone back when they were ready not me. I heard nothing until 8:45pm where I then found out she’d had it but they wanted to keep her overnight (even though they told me at an earlier point this wouldn’t happen). I told them that I would give it until 10pm and if she was fine I was taking her home as I felt uncomfortable leaving her there any longer unless necessary. Thankfully the vet that discharged her and phoned me back was delightful and very apologetic and a saving grace for the company after no communication all day from the vets. I would not recommend it at all.

I’ve been debating for quite some time whether I should write this review or not, and decided I should, hoping that my feedback will help others in a similar situation. I am also hoping this will encourage Medivet to reconsider some of their processes and approach in such situations. My dog, Motty, was perfectly fine, until suddenly one day he started being lethargic and showing weakness on his back legs. I called Medivet, they gave me an appointment on the same day. I told them the symptoms and they did a physical examination. They noted there seems to be a problem with one of his discs and injected him with some painkillers. They sent me home with medication for inflammation and pain, and asked me to ensure the dog will rest so he can recover. I took Motty home, and the next day I woke up to my dog crying, as he must have been in pain. When I looked at Motty, his back legs were paralysed. I visited Medivet They did another physical examination, They confirmed Motty had a slipped disc. Also worth noting, that by this time Motty had not urinated for 11 hours. The vet said I should take Motty home and prescribed another painkiller and sedatives, they said this is not an emergency yet. They also noted we should do an MRI and a surgery will most probably be needed, however this could not be done at Medivet Watford as they don’t have MRI and their surgeon is not qualified for this kind of surgeries. We asked what our options were, and they said they would call us back later with options and costs. The appointment was at 9:15 AM and they only called me back at 1:15 PM, so 4 hours later. They suggested I go to another Medivet branch to do an MRI. Given they told me they do not have a surgeon who can perform this kind of surgeries, I insisted to refer me for another clinic that can perform both the MRI and the surgery. They referred Motty to another clinic but it wasn’t an emergency referral and the appointment was still TBC. I called them a few times on the same day because Motty was suffering from pain, and by this point he had not urinated for about 20 hours they said it’s fine that he hasn’t urinated. They called me around 5 PM to confirm the appointment with the other clinic was for the next day 10 AM. Given the pills were not helping and the dog had not urinated for so long I called Medivet to see if there is anything else we could do in the meanwhile and asked if I can take Motty back in for stronger painkillers. They said I should double the dose of the sedative, this was still not an emergency and I should only take the dog in if he is collapsing and can’t stand on his front legs. I would also like to mention that the vet I spoke to at 10:30 PM was very helpful, and suggested I take Motty in. The vet noted I did the right thing taking the dog in as Motty was in a really bad state. The vet gave him some opioids and kept him in the clinic until the next morning when I took Motty to the other clinic. The other clinic I went to did the MRI and the results were some of the worst ones the doctor had ever seen. Unfortunately we went to the clinic too late and the kindest option was to put him to sleep. I really hope Medivet will reconsider their approach and act much faster next time they come across a similar situation so it doesn’t come to this…a very sad ending and Motty was only 5 years old.

Poor Attention and Overpriced Clinic I found their level of care and attention to be very disappointing. Maybe it’s because they are a large clinic with many patients, but it shouldn’t be an excuse. For a wound caused infection that could have been treated with antibiotics, they immediately pushed for a CT scan and surgery, quoting around £6,000. Only after insisting did they agree to try antibiotics. Once home, a large amount of pus drained from my cat’s wound, and thanks to the antibiotics, my cat fully recovered! Shockingly, during my cat’s 3-day stay, they didn’t even check the wound on his head—despite us mentioning it multiple times. I’ve had to visit this clinic 7-8 times purely due to its location, but each experience has been frustrating. It’s an expensive clinic that initially suggests numerous tests without explaining their necessity. When I questioned some tests, they said they’d check but later decided not to do them—leaving me wondering why they were suggested at all. Even worse, you need to call them repeatedly to get test results like bloodwork or cultures. Another issue is the lack of consistency. Different staff handle each visit, and they often seem unaware of my pet’s previous treatments. I had to remind them multiple times to avoid repeated, unnecessary tests. Lastly, their handling of insurance was inconsistent. In one visit, they claimed the cost directly from my insurer. But on another, despite prior agreements, they refused without explanation, asking me to pay upfront and file the claim myself. While the clinic might have its good sides, I never experienced them. I’ve since switched to a nearby clinic, which offers far better care and guidance at half the price.
