Charities we support
Animal welfare is our passion
Here at Medivet, we know we can make a real difference to the lives of animals in need – that’s why we support a number of animal charities that are dedicated to improving the health and welfare of animals so they can achieve more for the causes they serve. Here are some of the charities that we regularly support.
Cats Protection
Medivet supports Cats Protection, the UK’s leading cat welfare charity. Cats Protection stand up for every cat. At the forefront of research on cat welfare, they use their decades of experience to help all cats and support owners to keep their pets happy and healthy. Their campaigns change laws to give cats more protection and they continue to call for a better deal for cats. In every corner of the country their passionate volunteers, employees and supporters are using their kindness and expertise to make a better life for cats, because life is better with cats. At Medivet we are keen to help spread awareness of their work, promote cat adoption and support their campaigns throughout the year.

Dogs Trust
Dogs Trust aims to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. They are the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and they care for over 17,000 dogs each year through its network of 20 rehoming centres in the UK, and one in Dublin. We currently support Dogs Trust by taking part in their subsidised neutering and microchipping scheme, which offers vouchers to those living in Greater London that are in receipt of means-tested benefits and if their dog is a listed breed.
RSPCA
The RSPCA were the first to introduce a law to protect animals. They work hard to ensure that all animals can live a life free from pain and suffering. Through their campaigns, they raise standards of care and awareness of issues for the animals who have no voice.
Guide Dogs
Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind and when someone loses their sight, the charity Guide Dogs is there to make sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss and by 2050, there could be nearly four million. Guide Dogs relies on donations to continue its life-changing work, with every pound raised making a difference to people in the UK living with sight loss.
PDSA
Helping to turn breaking hearts into beating hearts. PDSA is the UK’s leading veterinary charity, and is dedicated to improving pet wellbeing in three very special ways – by educating owners, preventing disease and carrying out life-saving operations.
