Meet our Partner, Sian Humphries
Ever since I graduated from Cambridge University 12 years ago, I have spent my time being a proud small animal vet. Dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters alike, I'm happy to help any and all creatures great and small. The past few years I have dedicated my time to cats and am now a feline medicine certificate holder. I'm passionate about British wildlife and love nothing more than to turn my skills to an injured wild animal. More recently, I have been performing acupuncture treatments with great success, and will be leading the Medivet Beaminster team in Veterinary physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitation medicine. My own pets, Felicity the cat and Spud the dog, keep me busy. My biggest hobby is swimming, mainly pool based as I love amateur level racing competitions. I do also climb regularly, and I'm very excited about the crags that the Southwest has to offer.

You got good , kind and experienced vets, my dog { Lucy } was treated as a friend by the Beaminster practice instead of a animal , the appointment was fun for her , I really respect that , after all animals are a big part of our lives , thank you so much x

You need to reduce the price of your medications and treatment given, the profits that Medivet makes and the cost price of drugs, the markup is ridiculous.

Even though no owner wants to take their pet to the vets, it’s always reassuring and a pleasure to see Sian and her team. Nothing is any problem, and anything that is needed is always explained in full. No question is silly either which is refreshing. All in all, as owners, we couldn’t be happier and would be very happy to recommend the Beaminster Practice.

Veterinary Physiotherapy
Veterinary physiotherapy is hugely important for regaining strength after surgeries, and restoring flexibility to joints in chronic diseases such as arthritis. It incorporates pain relief techniques, helping to reduce our reliance on drugs.. All treatments are individualised but may contain thermotherapy, cryotherapy, massage, acupuncture, TENS, pulsed electromagnetic field device (PEMF), passive and active therapeutic exercises.
