Dimitri at Medivet Borehamwood is always really informative and helps me making the right choice of treatments, always really good with my dog for the various treatments she has had over the years.

Very good but medication is expensive like most Vet practices. The price on medication needs to be revised. Profits on most meds are far to high.

Having had our 6 month check up for our frenchie we realised a week later and during the appointment had forgotten to ask for a repeat prescription for the gel used for his hives he gets due to a skin allergy he has had for a long time. I called the practice to explain and was told they would check with the vet who saw him to see if she would be happy to prescribe the gel which is on his records. I was told after hearing back that they had spoken to the vet who said she would need to see him again before prescribing even though she checked the one on his back and we talked about his condition. This would now mean a charge for an appointment even though she knew he has the condition and this would be a repeat prescription. He is also on allergy tablets daily. However after my complaint they still insisted on seeing him again for a fee of course! Disgusting. Our dog has attended the vets every 6 months under the petplan we have always had in place and pay for monthly, no wonder people can’t look after their dogs when the vets charge what they want at astronomical prices, whether it’s an appointment or medication is unregulated and not ok and this is how your treated when you look after your animal. Lovely.

Your vet in Borehamwood
Medivet Borehamwood is a well established practice that has been part of the town since 1993. The head nurse Sarah has been there since 2002 and has student nurse Vanessa and Patient care assistant Annabelle working with her in running the practice. They pride themselves on great client care and look after your pet as if was their own. They have the full support of the 24 hour facility at Hendon and if you need to visit Hendon outside of Borehamwood's opening times they have full access to your pets medical history.
