I’m Hayley and I’ve worked in the veterinary industry since 2012, before qualifying as a vet in 2018. My interests lie in internal medicine and I’m also a huge fan of cat friendly handling and minimising stress for our feline friends! Outside of work I enjoy taking my three and a half legged cockapoo, Dottie, to the beach and reading a good crime thriller!

Every time I take my cat to the vets it seems like there is a different vet there each time. This doesn't really reassure me when it comes to the care of my cat. The vet we did have seemed to be confused about when my cat was last seen. One vet does know my cat and it's a shame she isn't always just based there as I feel animals will be better if they have a familiar face if they do go regularly.

My only suggestion would be that the claim for the cost of the initial consultation was sent separately from the main claim for the operation etc. As a result the insurance company would not pay for the separate claim as they said it fell below the excess. If this claim had been included within the main claim I would have got it. It may seem a minor point and I can easily afford it but the fact is that I pay a high insurance premium and have never made a claim before.
