I qualified as an RVN in February 2018 and joined Medivet in March 2022, originally only working part time, alongside another role in emergency and critical care. I am starting full time at Medivet London Road in August 2023 and love being a part of the team. I have a keen interest in surgery and will be undertaking a certificate in surgical nursing in the near future. I have an array of pets including exotics, a parrot called Florence, a 3 legged rescue cat called Binx and a rescue dog called Gruffalo.

Veterinary Nurse

I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College University of London in 2021 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. I started at Medivet last July after relocating and leaving my first job at a 24 hour Veterinary Hospital. I love being part of the team at London Road, being the baby of the group has its perks! I have a keen interest in anaesthesia and would love to be able to do a certificate in the future. Currently I have no animals but there is certainly something in the pipeline for the very near future!

Student Veterinary Nurse

Nicola completed her BSc Hons degree in Bioveterinary Science at the University of Chester. Throughout her degree she gained an interest in veterinary diagnostics and rehabilitation, so she decided to pursue this and go into the veterinary industry. Her favourite thing about her job is seeing the animals improve and what steps have been taken for them to get to that stage. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have any pets at the moment, but she would love to adopt a few fur babies in the future!

I'm a busy mum of two boys and two fur babies, my cat called pebbles who I rescued at my work and also my bunny hector. I love my job because I get to meet everyone's adorable pets and even get cuddles sometimes. I love socialising and to meet new people, my hobbies are going to the gym, singing and meeting up with my friends and family. No two days are the same at London road vets and I'm so pleased to be a part of a fantastic team of individuals.

First impressions, Amy was very thorough, explained all the procedure in detail regarding the removal of Beau’s teeth. Beau is 11 and has had teeth removed before but I was never made aware of the procedure or my options. I went to Aldham after visiting another Vet in Colchster a couple of days previously and I didn’t feel confident in the vet who hardly spoke to me during the checkup so came out feeling that I’d just been on a conveyer belt, get them in and out as quickly as possible. That’s my opinion.

This was our first visit to this vets having used St Runwalds Maldon Road since 1971 it was MrRunwald in those days. Then Anita took over the parctice an amazing vet. But when I went in June last year was horrified with the locum that saw us some 40mins after our appointment time and was. Or interested in his job However this time I went to the London Road Surgery today What a difference. The Staff were polite friendly the waiting area spotless friendly and spacious. Time keeping was excellent. And the vet sorry I haven’t got his name was amazing and nothing was too much he took his time with Paddington and gave him a complete check up and vaccinations and explained every thing I will certainly be going back in the future. And highly recommended them. Thank you all so much
