I joined the practice in May 2021 and worked alongside Shamrock’s previous partners for a few months before taking the reins in August 2021. In my spare time I love being outside. I enjoy hillwalking, gardening, caving, camping and trips to the seaside. I live with my husband, son and our two wonderful Maine Coon’s named George and Rose. I graduated from Edinburgh University with distinction in 2008 and then in 2015 I completed an RCVS certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice focusing on small animal medicine. I’ve worked in small animal practices in Berkshire, Northamptonshire and West Yorkshire before settling in the Harrogate area in 2015. I enjoy all aspects of small animal general practice, including performing surgeries, diagnosing and treating complex medical cases and the general care of dogs, cats and small mammals. I like to get to know my patients and work together with their owners to give them the best possible quality of life.

I joined the practice in October 2023 and I am enjoying getting to practice veterinary medicine while in the early stages of my career. I grew up in Spain and graduated from the University of Murcia, before moving back to the UK. I am passionate about all areas of small animal veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in developing my knowledge and skills in surgery, internal medicine and ultrasonography. In my free time I enjoy long walks out in nature with my dog Oddie, as well as cuddling up on the sofa with my cat Mr Beans. I am excited to continue forming a relationship with my patients and clients, while learning and progressing within my field as a Veterinary Surgeon.

I joined the practice in 2021 after 6 years’ experience in a busy animal hospital. I qualified in 2019 after retraining from a level 3 nurse practitioner. I live with my young son, Luke and a menagerie of pets, I have Raven and Hazel as my loyal dogs, I successfully rescued Hazel many years ago. My two cats, Nusura and Lollie provide lots of cuddles at the end of the day, though not very cuddly but very interesting, my mini zoo is complete with Leo the Leopard Gecko. When not working I have my head in a gripping historical book or exploring the Yorkshire moors with my dogs finding new routes and often getting lost. I have an interest in surgery and the monitoring and recovery of anaesthesia and wish to advance my career within this area.

Patient Care Assistant

I joined Shamrock over 20 years ago as a Client Care Assistant, during that time I trained to become a Patient Care Assistant where my previous experience of processing laboratory samples proved invaluable. With my experience I am often called on to assist in many areas of the practice. In my spare time I enjoy social activities with friends, keeping fit by walking my two dogs, Maddie and Luna. I am particularly proud of taking myself out of my comfort zone and completing the Three Peaks.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I'm in my placement year while studying to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse at Reaseheath University. I enjoy the husbandry aspects of the job as well as laboratory and surgery. When I'm not at work I enjoy cooking and baking with my boyfriend, as well as spending time with alpacas and goats at a local farm I volunteer at. I'm looking to adopt two kittens and eventually when I have a bigger garden will be getting a dog of my own too. When I qualify, I would like to travel abroad to Africa or South America and work at wildlife sanctuaries. I really enjoy this job and although I have much to learn, couldn't see myself working in any other occupation.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2003 and worked with the previous partners of Shamrock since 2015 until the partners retired in 2021. When I am not at work I like to keep fit by cycling, running and walking with my husband and two daughters and also our family dog, Snow. We also have Willow our cat and Middy and Peanut our hamsters. I have an interest all aspects of animal care and strive to further my knowledge in all areas. I enjoy meeting your furry friends and providing you and them with nurse clinics.

It is extremely important to all of our team that we deliver a high standard of care to all of our patients to maximise the probability of good clinical outcomes.
We have recently been inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons {RCVS} for the practice standards scheme and been awarded RCVS accredited status. We have also recently been approved as a nurse training practice by the RCVS.

We're a team of animal lovers and like to look after our patients as we would our own pets. We're keen to do everything we can to help patients feel relaxed at our practice whether they're just in for a consultation or if they are admitted for a day procedure.
