Very attentive care shown by both vets. Treatment options clearly explained, and the costs. Happy to report that so far our dog seems to be responding well to the procedures and follow up course of tablets.

I believe there is no out of hours vet available at this practice, which could be a problem under certain circumstances.

My dog became distressed while we were on holiday near Leominster. We contacted medivet worried that we wouldn't get seen because this wasn't our local vet but we were wrong. It took less than 5 mins to set up an account with the reception team over the phone and a appointment was made for within 30 minutes of initially making the call. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and were seen almost straight away. The vet we saw was amazing and extremely knowledgeable not only about my dogs condition and overall breed but also in the surrounding area as to what caused his distress. Some medication and a very well priced consultation and we were on our way with our minds at ease that he was going to be okay. I would like to thank the vet we saw for the kindness and professionalism he showed to us and would recommend anyone to visit MediVet Leominster.

The practise WILL KILL your animal. My 8 week old 1.5kg Pomeranian puppy was given full size dog medication 'by accident'. I woke up in the night to him crying lying limp in a huge pool of his own blood covering the entire kitchen, having vomitted and pooped pure blood in the few hours of sleep I'd gotten, having gone to bed. Emergency vet had me pay up front (as they do) - thats just the way they work. And the emergency vet said they had no idea why a dog his size was ever given that amount of antiinflammatories, that it was definitely the wrong dose. I'd literally been poisoning my dog, and I'd brought the dose and vial with me, for him to confirm. The vet later said they'd take responsibility and make sure they did what they could to get him better and waive the cost. There was still £50 odd of left over random stuff to pay even after saying they'd cover the cost, he was kept on drips etc for days. After all the emergency fees I didn't have £50, so that bit went to insurance. Then behind our backs ( because I'd said they could directly liaise with insurance - don't do that, big mistake) all the stuff they'd originally said they'd cover after taking partial responsibility, they then entirely packed onto the claim, running up to just under £800 now that 'insurance' was paying. I'll be paying higher premiums for his entire life now. They are fraudulent, devious, careless and unsuitable. I just so happened to wake up that night, what if I hadn't? The manager pretends it's not her answering the phone to avoid heat. Pretends she didn't say things she did say and pretends she has no idea whats going on at ALL the time, so if you want to give this the benefit of doubt, at a minimum, this is total idiocy. It's almost been two years since this, Bean has permanently effected eating and digestion and today they decided to send me a random 2 year old bill. This is my final straw, this business is not fit for any animal, it shouldn't even be open. Go to Arrowfield and it's a perfect experience in comparison, it's worth the extra distance, your pet might actually live to see another day. I've since been with both Arrowfield (which is my area recommendation) and another when I moved area. This isn't 'normal' excusable behaviour for being 'busy' every vet clinic is busy, this is entirely dysfunctional and malicious. Even after calling out the £800 up charge that came out of left field it was more of the same 'oh I didn't know', 'oh well, oh dear, I can't give the money back to insurance now, oopsie' from the absolutely incompetent manager pretending she had no idea that happened, where it's very clear she saw insurance was directly involved and pushed the money button. Then I didn't say anything just changed vet and requested no more contact, but they couldn't do that either had to randomly email me 2 years on because they are doing so badly, they couldn't handle a £5 and had to pinch it from 2 year old charitable handouts that they'd forgotten they'd waived and why.
