Lois Wilkie

Branch Partner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London with Honours in 2012. I then worked for 6 months in a clinic for geriatric cats (I love an oldie) before completing a 3-year PhD in feline cardiology. Part of my PhD involved travelling around the UK performing heart scans, and it was during this time I first visited and fell in love with the practice. Originally from Hertfordshire, I relocated to join the practice in 2017 and became Branch Partner here in 2023. I have just completed the final modules of a post-graduate certificate in Feline Internal Medicine and have a passion for cardiology and internal medicine. Outside of work, I'm kept busy by my three cats and young daughter. I enjoy running, callisthenics, climbing and gardening

My girls have been patients at Cardiff cat clinic for two years, during that time all the staff have been exceptional!! So far I’ve always managed to see a vet on the day I rang. Big shout out to Lois and Jess

On one visit, my cats records were not up to date, stating that they had not had their 3 month flea treatment. When I checked my bank statements a payment had been made for the amount, meaning I had purchased the treatment and treated my cat but your records did not show this transaction. I mentioned this to the staff at the time.

Incompetent account handling , Practice notifies me that I owe £63 on my account from Oct 2024 and two other smaller fees from May 2025 , bear in mind I left the practice in July 2025 .
Five months later they are only now advising me of all these fees and want to know if an insurance claim should be processed , a bit late for that. In all the times I was there they couldn't see the fees due.
I left the practice due to the delays trying to get a claim actioned and lost faith in the vets solving my cats consistent problem.
Took my cat to a non corporate vet (Stonecourt vets) and they solved the issue in two visits , no more visits or medicine required , really pleased and my cat is happy.

Would not recommend this practice. I have been sent a request for payment of over £500 from over 2.5 years ago, no explanation of what services were provided and this was the first I had heard in 2.5 years that I owed them anything. This practice was good under previous ownership but wouldn’t recommend them now.

I have owned cats ( or rather they have owned me!) all my life, but this is the first time I have had a proper relationship with a vet. Lois rocks!

The only place I would take my cat.
Vets & staff are absolutely fantastic, I've had sad and happy times bringing cats here - but it has always been professional, compassionate and everyone involved are passionate about the care they give every cat.
