Lead Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, my name is Gabriela Pop and I am really excited to be part of this team! I graduated in 2017 in Bucharest, Romania - then I moved to the UK straight away and I’ve been working as a Veterinary Surgeon in Wales for 6 years. I like to create a nice relationship with my clients and I always strive to provide gold standard of care for my patients - I enjoy both equally: surgical and clinical work. I truly believe that our profession requires continuous education, which is why I have also started studying towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, including my dog, but also reading, listening to music, travelling and cycling.

My dog is is very skittish from being attacked as a puppy so normally in fight or flight mode.
The receptionist and I talked about her, she offered treats making sure to do it in a non confrontational way and was very nice.
The vet came out also offering treats to calm and relax my dog and get to know her. I felt this was her priority however long it took. Her whole manner was so calming. My dog was having a booster and health check so I was holding her and could feel her heart beating rapidly. By the end of the check her heart rate was normal and you could tell she was relaxing.
I had a call from the vet a few days later and again she was so lovely on the phone. We have always been happy with all the staff and vets at the practice but this lady really was amazing with her caring, calm manner so
I hope to see her at our next visit.
Many thanks 😊
