Lead Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, I’m Inês, a 26-year-old veterinary surgeon from Portugal, passionate about providing high-quality care to all the furry friends who visit us at Medivet Maresfield. Since joining in November, I’ve loved taking on the role of lead vet, especially in my area of interest – Internal Medicine. When I’m not busy helping pets feel their best, I enjoy unwinding with a good book or finding peace and balance through yoga. I’m also a proud dog mom to two lovely pups, who keep me active and entertained at home. I’m excited to be part of this wonderful team and can’t wait to continue supporting you and your pets!

Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, I’m Steve, I qualified from Cambridge University in 1985 and have spent my entire professional career in general practice. I sold my practice on the Sussex coast in 2018 to allow time to enjoy other activities such as travel, chasing around my grandchildren and following Arsenal FC. I have an elderly, cross breed dog called Dave who is arthritic, in early stage renal failure and almost totally deaf, but otherwise in perfect health! I really enjoy being a vet and am delighted to be working two days a week with the Medivet Maresfield team.

Hi, I’m Matthew, one of the vets at Medivet Maresfield. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and started my career in Northumberland, working with farm animals and horses. Four years later, I moved to London and transitioned to small animal practice where I gained valuable experience across several clinics. For several years I ran my own clinic in Battersea before relocating with my family to the Tunbridge Wells area. I am passionate about caring for dogs and cats, with a particular interest in ophthalmology, and I’m committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. At home, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two teenage children, a Labrador, a cat, rescue chickens and managing a flock of sheep! When I’m not busy with family or animals, I love windsurfing and tinkering with my Land Rover. I’m thrilled to be part of the Medivet Maresfield team, delivering top-quality care to pets and their families.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi I’m Rosie, head nurse at Medivet Maresfield. I qualified in 2022 from Plumptom College and I’ve since become a clinical coach, playing a huge role in training our student nurses, which I really enjoy. I have a special interest in anaesthesia, and plan to start a certificate qualification this year. At home, I enjoy yoga and walking my cocker spaniel Willow and my 12 year old cross breed Tiggy. I’m so glad to be a part of the Medivet Maresfield team.

Hello, I’m Katie, a student nurse at Medivet Maresfield and joined the amazing team in 2022. I have just returned after having had a baby in May and really look forward to continuing my nurse training. Prior to working at Medivet Maresfield, I was a zookeeper and worked with primates. I am thoroughly enjoying my career as a nurse and getting to know our clients and their pets. This is my 3 year old dog Toby who I thoroughly enjoy practicing scentwork with.

Hi I’m Holly, I started working at Medivet Maresfield in September 2021 after working with horses for a number of years. I am now in my final year of veterinary nurse training and very much looking forward to qualifying at the end of the year. I really enjoy working in general practice and seeing all of our lovely clients and their pets. I live with my fiancé and our 4 dogs Winnie, Roe, Dylan, and Nora, all of who keep me very busy outside of work!

Student Veterinary Nurse

Hi I'm Vicky, one of the student nurses at Medivet Maresfield. From a very early age I always carried a deep set compassion for animals. Growing up I was inspired by my Grandad who had a small dairy herd in Brightling East Sussex. His admiration for his animals instilled the ambition of mine to one day train to become a veterinary nurse. In 2013, I graduated from Hadlow college with first class BSc in Animal Management where I developed a passion for animal behaviour and animal welfare. Before joining the Medivet Maresfield family, I had the privilege of working with the cats at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, where my care and dedication for welfare and feline behaviour could be utilised. This inevitably led to the adoption of my two feline Raystede babies - Xanthe and Wispa. I feel very proud to now be in my second year veterinary nurse training and privileged to be working alongside the wonderful and supportive team at Medivet Maresfield.

Hi I’m Livvy, I joined Medivet Maresfield in 2023 and have just started my first year of nurse training at Plumpton college. I now split my time between the Medivet Maresfield and Medivet Forest Row branches, and I’m really enjoying the experience of working at both practices! In my free time I love riding horses and walking my miniature pinschers. I’m really excited to continue my training, at both practices, with both lovely teams.
