Meet our Partner, Paisley Caunt

I’m Paisley, the Partner at Medivet Matlock. With over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, I’ve learned that while medical protocols are standard, pets and their owners never are. I truly enjoy the puzzle of tailoring a treatment plan that fits the specific needs of your family. Beyond general practice, I hold a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and currently pursuing advanced qualifications in Ophthalmology – I have a particular soft spot for helping our patients see the world more clearly! My goal is to become a familiar, trusted face for the Matlock community. When I’m not in the clinic, I’m usually kept on my toes by my husband and our two young sons. When I find spare time, you’ll usually find me with my horses or out riding—my favourite way to unwind.

A warm welcome. Proposed way forward with the care of my dog Morse was explained.
I have used the practice for many years 55+ years.
I think the practice went "downhill" for a time when there wasn't a permanent vet but I'm sure it will go from strength to strength under the new ownership.

I booked thinking that I was seeing a vet but it was the practice nurse. On this occasion we needed to see the vet and therefore had to make another appointment to return. We live ½ hr away not just around the corner. This is very frustrating. It should be made clear on booking who the appointment is going to be with.

Previously we have had a couple of appointments there the Vet was not warm and courteous.
As a result, we were apprehensive at our next visit but had a positive call in between.
The new Practice Director Paisley is a breath of fresh air. She genuinely cares, as do the Admin supportstaff on Reception.
1 thing to improve is to price match your drugs to Animed, which we expected as we are on a monthly plan and it is in the paperwork. So far no joy. Otherwise Service is great.

I found that not much was done, five minutes to look in my cat’s mouth and I had to pay £52, my cats welfare is important, but I don’t have much money to spend and I thought it was expensive for the time spent on him.
