What is a referral?

Advanced veterinary advice or care is needed depending on the case
Your primary vet decides they’re not able to offer the right level of expertise, or they don’t have the appropriate facilities at the general practice.

Your veterinary surgeon makes a referral to our centre
Your primary vet will recommend that your pet be seen by a specialist consultant, or a vet who has undertaken additional training to provide an advanced clinical service, at a referral centre.

I can't praise Medivet and its staff enough. Our 2 year old cavapoo had to have emergency surgery on his back and Stuart the surgeon showed nothing but genuine care. He phoned us straight after he'd finished our dogs' operation. The nurse who explained how to administer medications and showed us how to do physiotherapy was also amazing as were the receptionists. Thank you to everyone.

We took our 2 year old cavapoo to Medivet as an emergency after he'd had a fall. We could not have possibly wished for better care. Our dog had to have spinal surgery and the surgeon Stuarts' priority was for our dog. He genuinely cared and rang us straight after he'd finished the operation.
Everyone at the surgery has shown us nothing but kindness and support. I can't praise them all enough. Thank you so much

The Invoice took sometime coming through to reception resulting in me waiting 45 mins before i asked if i could call and pay over the phone as the cat was in the carrier.
But this was my only negative.

I walked into the waiting room/reception and everything was calm and peaceful.
I instantly felt at ease and felt in safe hands. My dog Archie was calm because l was calm. The service was professional and welcoming.
The price was reasonable too..
