Medivet Shepshed

I like Medivet but your prices are insane. Being charged £49 for a check up when it’s related to the same illness which he was only seen for days earlier?? Daylight robbery!! I asked my cats vet if the blood test she wanted him to have would be about £80 and she said yes - turned out to be £170. I only use Medivet because they are 5 minutes down the road from me and my cat gets sick if he has to travel for me than 10 minutes so my options are limited as to where I can go. As soon as another vet comes along who is just as near, I will look at switching to them

Only signed up last year with our rescue dog Daisy . I found them very friendly and lovely with our dog . So up to now it’s all good Thankyou team 👏🏻😊

Medivet Shepshed saw my cat for an abscess on his face as our practice didn’t have any availability. They were excellent with the care they provided, my cat is on the mend! Thank you so much again for all your help!

Be aware that Vet Value will no longer honour their lifetime vaccination plan now they have changed to Medivet. My mother signed up for the lifetime plan under Vet Value and when she had the dogs routinely vaccinated today was shocked to be charged £170. When she asked why the vaccine was not included in the plan she had signed up to the receptionist said that Medivet were refusing to honour the original plan. The receptionist said Medivet had communicated this to all costumers in June via email and a letter. My mother has not received any notice of this changed and was not told of the additional cost until after the vaccinations had been given. Had this been communicated to her when she booked the appointment she would have chosen not to vaccinate her dogs at this practice. She has been disappointed with previous visits (vets lacking confidence around the dogs when giving vaccines) but felt as she had paid for the lifetime plan she would persevere with the practice. The receptionist apologised repeatedly for the change in their service and said the practice had received multiple complaints regarding this issue. I suggested that all costumers returning for routine vaccinations with the lifetime plan need to be verbally informed of the additional cost at the time of booking an appointment.

Not the most friendly vets I've been but as long as they are professional with my pup I'm OK. Bit disappointed they have stopped anuaul injections free after paying £100 when I joined. You pay £100 and the injections are free everytime they are due. Now I've got to start paying for them ,they told me it was never ending.

Everyone was very friendly, and I felt my dog was treated well & looked after during her operation.

much nicer and friendlier now and not always trying to sell you something you don't need. highly recommended now it's changed hands. I do t come out feeling guilty anymore lol

If I could give 0 stars I would. Disgusting vets with no empathy. I have my reasons for this review which I won't post publicly as its very upsetting.
