Overall never have any issues with Medivet. They’ve looked after my pets over the years extremely well. Unfortunately there were two things disappointing in my last couple of visits to the Southgate branch. Firstly the receptionist didn’t take her job seriously and smirked every time I spoke to her about important things regarding my pets, which was unhelpful and off putting. On my last visit, I saw her go into the back after checking in my dog and said to other staff “Gosh how could you even have a dog that big in your house”, which I found offensive and also amusing given the environment - whilst it’s good to have fun at work, do better to be more professional in front of pet owners and be more aware of expressing your opinions. I then had one of the Vet’s (bloke with curly hair) who clearly had a long day didn’t seem that bothered about my concerns regarding my pet and kept responding with generic answers to my questions which wasn’t helpful. Medivet please do better to a) ensure front line staff are professional and b) Vets are more empathetic and listen to pet owners more.

On my last visit my dog was examined gently and professionally and the vet was friendly and explained what is going on, the staff were also pleasant and helpful

Very friendly and helpful staff. The service has improved with the current staff, they are amazing. It was easy to get an appointment on the day and the advice was honest and informative in the interest of my pet.

Really impressed by this little vetenary practice and all the lovely team there. Friendly, professional, polite, knowledgeable and so good with the animals, the vet (Natasha) had a lovely calm and caring energy, which had a positive effect on all of us, and put my pet at ease. My cat’s symptoms got dismissed and unfortunately lead to multiple weeks under emergency care at other vets and unfortunately my cat passed away. Other Medivet practices deliver better care, please bear this in mind.
