Hola!! I am a Spanish vet, I qualified in 2007. Working with animal was always my dream, and luckily here I am. I was working with racehorses in Spain, but decided to focus on small animals since I am in UK. In my spare time I love to train capoeira, visit different countries, enjoy nature and paddle boarding. Dancing is another passion, sadly not as good as I would like. Most of you know my beloved dog Romeo. He loves to come to the clinic every day and meet new friends.

I had two cats and a dog and over the last 15 years this practice has gone from being a small friendly place to a money making business. When my dog was at the end of his life three weeks ago, I called the vet as I wanted to speak to someone about him and ideally arrange a home visit as he was very old and ill. The receptionist was unsympathetic and I eventually got a call back from a vet two days later. My dog had very sadly died. Over the years I had spent SO much money at that vet, I expected more at the end of my beloved dogs life.

I’ve been taking my dog to this location for many years and never had to write a review due to disappointing service. However small things add up and this was the tipping point. At first, issues like wrong breed and wrong age on her profile caused minor issues with the insurance company. Next it was wrong customer name even though we had been using the same name throughout our time with them. Now, after taking my pet to the vet for anal gland expression on the 12th of June, she started scooting again today on the 16th of June. When I called to ask for a follow up appointment, they said there was nothing they could do and that I had to book another appointment again and pay again. I have taken my pet to have her anal glands done multiple times and this is the first time she’s had this issue again after less than a week. The reply from the vet was that all issues were resolved in the initial appointment. If the issues were resolved, would my pet still be scooting less than a week later? I understand if the issue came back after a month because anal glands do fill up, but it seems unlikely. The cost for anal glands expression is £16. If this is the way medivet choose to conduct their business, then I will definitely be taking my expensive vet fees elsewhere.
