Emma Evans

Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Liverpool University in 2009 and spent eight years in a small practice in North Wales before moving to Shropshire in 2016. I also have certificates in internal medicine and dermatology as these are areas of veterinary care I particularly enjoy, and of course caring for your pets and making a positive impact on their lives! At home I have two children, Austin and Alice, whom I love spending quality time with.

I graduated from the University of Liverpool Veterinary School in 2023 and have been loving life as a vet ever since! Early on, I rescued a ridgeback puppy named Rue, who is now living her best life and is the CEO of our family. I have a soft spot for the golden oldies - helping to manage their health and comfort is something I enjoy. I’m excited to keep learning and hope to pursue an internal medicine certificate in the future. When I’m not working, I enjoy going on adventures with Rue and my fiancé, exploring the outdoors and trying to keep up with them!

Veterinary Nurse

I started working for Medivet in October 2017 as a patient care assistant. I became permanent with the Sutton farm family in July 2019 where I began my veterinary nursing training and then qualified in June 2022. I enjoy all aspects of my job but my main interest is being in theatre and monitoring anaesthetics. I am currently working towards my certificate in anaesthesia to gain more knowledge and confidence and to ensure I can give patients the gold standard of care. At home I am kept very busy by my 3 miniature dachshunds; Cooper, Harper and Ettie and I have recently become a mum to my son Dougie. We love nothing more than a family day outdoors.

Veterinary Nurse

Hi! I’m Cerys, and I’ve been working at Sutton farm for about 2 years. I began as a PCA, before embarking on my journey to become an RVN (hopefully graduating in 2025). I am lucky to be the parent of a very fluffy and often grumpy rag doll named Dexter, whom I practice many of my nursing skills upon (he doesn’t mind as long as he is compensated for his time with treats)! There are many things I love about working at the vets, but I am particularly fascinated by radiography and surgery!

I joined the Sutton Farm family in July 2023 as a patient care assistant and am now currently studying veterinary nursing as I have always had a passion caring for pets and contributing to their health and happiness! At home I have a crazy cockerpoo called Bob who keeps me entertained with his silly nature as well as Joe the cat who is very relaxed and likes a nap. In my spare time you'll find me in the dance studio or strumming away on my guitar.

I graduated with a degree in veterinary nursing from Nottingham Trent University in July 2023 and joined the team soon after. I enjoy consulting, particularly nurse clinics to support owners whose pets suffer from long term conditions. I have a soft spot for cats- especially older or grumpy ones, as well as exotic animals of all species. Outside of work I am kept busy by my two cats Ziggy & Bailey and my senior rabbit Oreo.

I’ve always had a passion for animals, especially for their well-being and to care for them. This is why I went on to study Animal Management at college which increased my motivation even more to start a career in the veterinary field! At home I have a handsome cat called Ned who always causes mischief! I am loving my journey so far as a Patient Care assistant.

Client Care Assistant

Hi, I'm Tracey! I'm currently working as a client care assistant at Sutton Farm where I joined the team in March 2023. An aspect of my role I particularly enjoy is the opportunity to interact with clients and their pets to ensure they are provided with the best care. And let's not forget about the puppy cuddles – they're undoubtedly one of the highlights of my day! My hobbies are reading books, going out for meals or travelling on holiday!

Practice Manager

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2014 and have thoroughly enjoyed my nursing career so far. I’ve previously worked at two other Medivet practices, and I’m excited to be part of the team once again. In my last role, I held the position of Head Nurse, where I completed certificates in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and Nurse Consulting, while also leading a small team of colleagues. I’m dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for animals, while supporting their owners with compassion and understanding. I love building relationships with both pets and their people, and I always strive to ensure you receive the best service possible. As Practice Manager, I’m passionate about creating a positive, welcoming environment for both clients and the team. I believe in fostering a supportive workplace where everyone feels appreciated, valued, and empowered to do their best.

Emma and her team are so kind and very professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them and so helpful and advice given if you need to ask a question. You were all so supportive when my beautiful Minnie needed their care and sadly died on the 1/8/25 which was devastating as she died due to a car accident just by our house. Thank you so much for all your kind words, and care with Minnie. Xxx

The reception team are always very welcoming and friendly. Polly's appointment was with Vet Nurse Kim. She takes a genuine interest in Polly's on-going treatment and progress. The pain score/assessment has proven to be so useful. Kim will be a great addition to the team. She has so much knowledge and experience. Dr Emma and everyone at Sutton Farm provide a professional and caring service to pets and their owners.

Always receive excellent care for our dog from this Practice. The Vets there are so welcoming & helpful. In fact all the staff we have encountered are the same, smiles on faces and extremely helpul manners. I trust in what they are doing - which is invaluable when you have a poorly animal.

The practice at Sutton Farm is superb. Always caring, and reliable in my experience.

  • Barney the Brave

Young Barney came to see Emma when he wasn’t able to bare any weight on his front right leg. It doesn’t take a vet to be able to see the issue on Barney’s x-ray!

Due to the nature of the break, and the potential complications this could have for Barney in the future, it was decided that it would be in Barney’s best interests to amputate his poorly leg. We are happy to report that Barney is getting on amazingly well on his remaining three legs, and is now back to his usual self, able to run around and wreak havoc with his brothers and sisters!

What our clients say

Here's just an example of some of the heartwarming feedback we've received from our valued clients.

"Since Lucy was 12 years old she has had dementia which has meant she became more reliant on their care with different health issues.

Over the last two years, it has been great to get the advice from Laura Medlicott about what adjustments could be made to make Lucy's life easier. Emma and the team worked with us giving us advice and ideas to help Lucy cope with the changes as well as medication to help with her deterioration of dementia.

Right throughout Emma and the team listened to our concerns and always delivered an outstanding level of care to Lucy; even when she was put to sleep, they made our loss as special as they could.

The moment I was dreading was not as bad as I thought it would be, we got a real comfort from it and it was nice knowing that she had people she was familiar with in the final moments of life and she had her final cuddles from the staff before she was set free over the Rainbow Bridge, so for this I would like Sutton Farm to get the best recognition they can get as they fully well deserve it."
