I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College London (RVC) in 2019 and joined the Wantage team permanently in March 2021. I have a particular passion for surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy attending rock concerts, theatre shows and cinema screenings. I also play guitar, am a member of a choir and like to unwind by reading, cooking and bullet journaling. I have a tabby and white cat named Lennon, who first arrived at the practice as a stray and needed surgery to fix his dislocated hip. He’s made an excellent recovery and has been keeping my partner Chris and I on our toes ever since!

I graduated in 2019 from Portugal, after which I spent a period teaching at my university's veterinary course. Later, in 2020, I moved to the UK and started working for Medivet. During my free time I enjoy reading, going to the beach, be it summer or winter, and trying different kinds of food.

I originally joined Danetree in 1987 as a trainee veterinary nurse. My role within the practice changed in 1990 when initially I became the farm animal receptionist and then went on to become the office manager at the Faringdon branch. I am now working part time as a client care assistant here at Wantage

After a slightly varied career, I began working for Day and Partners (which very shortly changed to Danetree Veterinary Surgeons) in 1995. I qualified as a veterinary nurse from Berkshire College of Agriculture in 1998. I left Danetree in 2001 and took two years out on maternity leave, returning as a part-time receptionist in 2003. In practice I deal with all the insurance claims so you'll usually find me surrounded by a pile of paper work!

My kitten was booked in for their very first appointment. We were in the waiting room for a while as our appointment ran over and was late. When we were called in, the vet put his hand inside the kitten carrier whilst talking to us and the kitten hissed at him. The vet asked us if the kitten was feral and called in a nurse with gloves on to help. The kitten was quickly vaccinated and because of her previous reaction they didn’t take the time to do a thorough health check.
I would have thought that it is very common for an animal to be distressed when visiting the vet so I personally felt that little care & understanding was given toward the situation. I didn’t feel confident about the visit and came away feeling like we didn't get the full service.
Hopefully next time will be better.

We have been using the services of Medivet Wantage since they took on the practice. The senior vet Daniel Varian is an exceptionally gifted veterinary surgeon and the the other vets follow his example. The reception staff are polite and very helpful.
It would be good if in the long term the practice could include over night and weekend care.

Always helpful. Great with our dog recently who had a bad reaction to something he ate over Christmas. Cleared up the problem very quickly. Thank you Andre.

Andre is such a caring and professional vet who goes over and above. He really shows he cares for animals and I can’t thank him enough for making me feel assured that our dog is ok.

I can’t recommend Danny and his team highly enough. Every member of staff genuinely cares about Tilly's well-being and along with being greeted with friendly smiles, there is always a generous stash of treats! It’s rare to find a vet who combines such high-level expertise with such a personal touch. I feel completely confident that Tilly is in the best hands possible. Thank you!
