Veterinary Surgeon

I have been a Veterinary Surgeon since 2019, the year I graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lisbon. Immediately after graduating, I began my career in the UK, working as a first opinion clinician. I joined the Medivet Welton team in January 2024 and am actively pursuing my Certificate in Veterinary Business Management. Within the veterinary field, my primary interests lie in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. Outside of work, I enjoy activities such as going to the gym, playing Xbox games with my elderly cat nestled in my lap, and travelling to new countries and cities. I work at Washingborough on Fridays.

Outside of work I enjoy hiking with my dog (Bea the beagle) spending time with my cats and of course my husband. I also enjoy baking, socialising and music.

I am really grateful to the vet and staff at Washingborough for taking great care of my Rottweiler Teddy. He was diagnosed with cancer, but as it was detected early, surgery went ahead and he only lost a toe. Unfortunately old age is beginning to set in, he is 10 now, but they haven't given up on him trying different medication/ pain relief for his joints. Teddy is not just my pet. He is my comforter when he knows I'm sad. A massive thank you to Emily, Andrew and all the staff at Washingborough for their friendship and advice at every visit, and there has been a lot, but most of all giving Teddy a decent quality of life.

Emily is familiar with my pets and goes out of her way to take care of them. The practice does not try and sell unnecessary treatment.

The staff at white gates Washingborough were friendly and made my nervous rescue dog feel at ease during her routine check up - I was well informed and am always reminded when my dogs need their flea and worm treatment.

I have used this vets for years and will continue to do so.
My appointment didn’t start on time because there was an emergency in another room - I would have waited as long as necessary. The care that was shown to the poor urgent cat and his owner was very good. The vets here really seem to believe in what they do. Thank you.

Thanks for your professionalism

Been using this vet’s for just over a year now, find it easy to book in for regular checkups and vaccinations. It is also easy to order and collect worm etc and flea treatments. Receptionists are always friendly and helpful either in the vets office or on the phone. When seeing the vet or nurse they are friendly and answer any questions I have. My little chap is always happy to go in and doesn’t mind the fussy’s he receives.

  • Senior Cat Clinics

We strongly believe that age is not a disease and that older pets just need a little bit more care and preventative medicine to stay fighting fit. Our Senior Cat Clinics are used to assess senior cats for the common diseases that we see in our Golden Oldies such as osteoarthritis, heart disease, dental disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, subclinical urinary tract infections, hyperthyroidism, and hypertension, among other conditions. By checking healthy elderly cats we hope to be able to improve their general health and welfare and prevent any unexpected visits.

  • Nurse Clinics

We offer a variety of nurse clinics including weight watchers, diabetic pet support, dental care, blood pressure checks and among others. Veterinary nurses are professionals who have gained academic and practical qualifications and are registered and governed by the RCVS like vets.
