Lead Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2016 from the University of Lisbon, in Portugal. Before joining Medivet, I worked in a 24-hour hospital and specialised in Internal Medicine and Emergency/Intensive Care. My areas of interest are Internal Medicine, Abdominal and Cardiac Ultrasound, Emergency and Intensive Care and Endocrinology. I'm currently completing a certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine. And because life can't be all about work, even if it's hard at times, I love traveling, exercising and spending time with family, friends and my lovely dog Gaspar, a Golden Retriever.

It was my childhood dream to become a vet and I graduated from the Royal Vet College in 2011. I have been working for Medivet since 2016 and I am excited to have joined the team at Welwyn Garden City. I'm particularly interested in small animal medicine but getting to know my clients and their pets is the best part of my job. Outside of work I am kept busy looking after my young son and caring for my cat, Flossie.

I started working at Medivet in April 2023 as I really love working with animals and had previously worked with horses for most of my life. I am currently working towards the training to become a student vet nurse. I am really looking forward to learning new things and also working towards something different. I currently have two dogs Lily and Oreo who I love walking however I am hoping to get another horse in the near future.

We took our Tibetan terrier to Medivet for a titre test as we are concerned about over vaccinations. We saw Craig who gave our dog a health check before his blood test. He was really lovely, professional and kind and didn't patronise me about vaccinations as I've had at other vets. The results came through in 24 hours and Craig called me to go through the results before emailing them to me. I'm really happy with the service I received.

I’ve been taking my cat to Mill Green for 4 years and they are always very helpful and friendly. Most recently Craig took a blood test and did a general check up and was able to provide detailed information on his condition, and explained all the options available to me. He was upfront about the risks and also costs which I appreciate
