Hi, my name is Kat! I have been part of the Medivet Worthing team since September 2022. I started training here as a new grad and have grown and learned so, so much since. I love working in our amazing team, with our great clients and your adorable furries! I grew up in Germany always surrounded by lots of different pets. So, it was only natural to go on to study Veterinary Medicine. I studied in Lithuania and Spain before deciding to move to Worthing to join Medivet.

Cecile qualified at Maisons-Alfort, near Paris, in 1996 and worked for several years around Paris, sharing her time between general practice and oncology. She moved to the UK in 2011 to widen her skills in oncology at the Royal Veterinary College in London before returning to general practice. Cecile has her heart set on supporting pets and their human families come sunny or rainy days and even when cancer comes their way, always putting the patient's quality of life first. Trained as a conventional general practitioner, Cecile is very happy to collaborate with holistic colleagues whenever complementary or supportive treatments can be offered, convinced that integrating both approaches improves our quality of care. Arrived in Chichester in 2014, Cecile is enjoying the pretty city, the South Downs, the seaside, her lovely village, her amazing friends. Having the luxury of regular Parisian trips to visit her family and friends. Forever a cat lover.

I have been working at Medivet Worthing for the last 11 years. I started my Veterinary Nurse training at Brighton University in 2010, qualifying as an RVN in 2013. In 2015, I progressed to being Head Nurse. I enjoy all aspects of Nursing, especially looking after our poorly fur babies and seeing them improve and recover during the time they are with us. In the future, I am hoping to progress my training by undertaking an Ultrasound course.

I started at Heene Road Vets December 1987, while going to Brinsbury college, I was lucky enough to be offered a placement to train as a Veterinary Nurse. After qualifying I have enjoyed working at Heene Road, now Medivet Worthing ever since. I am now happily married with 2 children, while having a breather from having loyal Boxer's in our family. We now have an entertaining Cockapoo called Buster and a tolerant cat called Molly! Veterinary nursing is a very rewarding job, although sometimes very stressful and definitely not a 9 to 5 job. I have loved my years in practice, working with some amazing vets, nurses and receptionists. I have met some lovely clients and their pets, which I have enjoyed sharing over the years.

Originally from London, I moved to Worthing in 1983 and started working at Heene Road Vets (now Medivet) in 1986 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, prior to this I ran a small grooming business alongside working as a locum nurse. Several years later, I decided to return to full-time education (whilst remaining at Heene Road) and trained as a special needs teacher, which I did for several years but the desire to return to animals became too strong and I returned as a full-time nurse in 2014. I am married with two grown-up sons and currently own a Westipoo doggie named Daisy. Until recently I also had a cat and am finding life incomplete without one so am on the lookout for a kitten (or two). Within the practice I am referred to as the nutrition nurse having undertaken a certificate in 2018, this is an area I love researching and am never happier than when I am looking into the diets of dogs and cats. Outside of work, I sing with the Rock Choir, which I absolutely love, do Pilates and I am a dab hand at DIY.

Since qualifying in 2018, I have been a part of the Worthing team and Clinical Coaching future Vet Nurses. I particularly enjoy using all the modern equipment and tech available to us in practice and how they can be used to aid our patients in their speedy recoveries. At home, I have two very needy miniature Schnauzers and in my spare time I enjoy adventuring in the outdoors and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.

I started my Veterinary Nursing apprenticeship back in 2011 and qualified in 2015. I love everything about being a Veterinary Nurse from taking bloods and monitoring anaesthesia to supporting sick patients, running nurse clinics, and helping clients through the toughest goodbyes. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what makes it so special.

I have been working at Medivet Worthing since 2022 and currently training to be a veterinary nurse. I am a BIG cat lover with 3 cats of my own and 2 tortoises. My cats keep me occupied as they are constantly zooming around the house. Before I started working for Medivet, I did a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I have always wanted to work with animals and training to be a nurse has allowed me to expand my knowledge whilst helping a range of species. In my free time I enjoy catching up with friends, playing with my cats and travelling to different countries.

I have always wanted to work with animals, and I love being a part of their care and treatment in practice. At home I have 2 rescued Staffordshire bull terrier x brothers who love attention, treats and sleeping on the bed.

I joined the amazing team at Medivet Worthing in late 2024. I'm in the background, ensuring everything is clean and presentable for you and your pets. You may see me helping on reception, running around the corridors with boat-loads of laundry, or cleaning and tidying the clinic. I'm at the beginning of my animal care career, previously working in education and retail, I aspire to become a Veterinary Nurse! I'm a massive cat lover, with a senior kitty of my own, but I have a soft spot for dogs - especially Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs! In my own time I love crafting, reading, and watching true crime documentaries.

I joined Heene Road Vets in February 2000 as a receptionist and have been here ever since apart from a 2 year break. In this time I worked as a support worker which was rewarding but not quite as rewarding as being around the animals, and I did miss the team a lot! I have not regretted coming back to veterinary work and think I will still be here in another 20 years. During lock down I took in a lovely dog for 1 month as his owner was poorly. He is still with me and loves to come to work with me and sit under desks in the office waiting for treats, particularly Vet Eurico's desk! I am about to embark on an a new role from September 24 as Practice Manager for Worthing , Goring By Sea and Brighton branch and I am really looking forward to all the new challenges that await me .

I'm Angela but known as AJ. I have worked for the Worthing and Goring practices for 6 years as a Client Care Assistant and before that I worked for Santander for 15 years as a Personal banker. I am originally from London but now live in Worthing. I currently have no pets of my own as I recently lost my lovely old cat in May, but I know I will be adopting another golden oldie in the near future. The best part of the job for me is meeting the lovely pets and their owners.

I previously studied animal management at Plumpton college and am a lifelong animal lover (particularly fond of reptiles and invertebrates - I have had over 60 tarantulas!). I joined the Medivet Team at the beginning of 2025! I love cats and dogs equally and often like to get dogs do tricks (e.g. to spin around or rollover) for treats in reception! In my spare time, I love to travel, go exploring, and going to gigs. My favourite part of the day is when my cat reaches on me for “uppies” when I get home.

I am married to a farmer and have recently relocated to the area to be closer to my husband's job. Before coming to Medivet, I worked in a specialist referral centre. When I am not caring for my young son and 2 feisty chihuahua's I enjoy long walks, paddle boarding and ski holidays. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and meeting all their furry friends!

Very long story short It’s natural when you have been through the mill to want to recount all the details but in this case I will only state the salient facts. A couple of months ago, our dog, Merlin, was experiencing pain in his rear leg which was diagnosed as a partial cruciate ligament tear. Options on how to treat this were discussed with Medivet and we did have a proposed plan of surgery. In the interim, we were offered a steroid injection into the painful area and this was administered. A few days later, we reported to Medivet that he was suffering from quite severe nausea and vomiting. The diagnosis was that it was either possible that the steroid had in part infiltrated his blood stream or that it was a reaction to the steroid and another ibuprofen based medication he had been prescribed for pain. There were no concerns for his well being. Merlin continued to go downhill – off his food, sickly, not well at all. There were several more appointments at Medivet at this stage and the diagnosis was repeated as a reaction to his medication. Meanwhile, we had googled his symptoms, especially post the steroid and there were very clear indicators for damage to the pancreas. This was raised with the vet who said we could check via bloods the next week. We continued to be very worried about Merlin and asked Heene Road to see him within that same week. They had no room but referred us to their Littlehampton branch where he saw a vet. She appeared to concur with the diagnosis of a meds interaction. She changed his pain medication. We have a very big issue with the treatment we received there. Our experience was that after a significant wait, which we didn’t mind, we had an appointment with the vet that lasted no less than 5 minutes and we consider far less than 10. We recall being very shocked at how cursory the examination was but when Merlin’s notes were requested by his new vet and shared with us, the Medivet vet and ourselves seem to have a very different recollection of how long and thorough that appointment was. Her written account didn’t match our recollection of the experience. The end result was that Merlin was admitted to the new vet’s hospital on a Sunday morning, two days after speaking to Medivet about him, because he was desperately ill over the Saturday night. He was a very sick dog and no one expected him to survive. He was diagnosed with Necrotising Pancreatitis and spent 5 nights in the dog hospital (not under Medivet). They saved his life. We feel that had we stayed with Medivet who failed to identify how very sick he was, he wouldn’t be here now. He is still a sick dog but seems to be coping well at the moment. We do feel that had Medivet diagnosed him correctly sooner, he may not have been as terribly sick as he now is. We have reached out to Medivet for their comments which, as you would rightly expect, were received as an explanation of his treatment and the decisions behind it. The last communication we had with Medivet was us asking for details of who to make a complaint to regarding the Littlehampton care, to which we have received no response.

the staff here are brilliant! Always greet you with a smile and your pet gets a fuss too, keep you informed on wait times, and when its time to leave make sure you're waved off with a smile! The vet doing my cat's booster vaccines and health check was absolutely lovely! You could tell she adored cats as much as I do, she took her time to speak calmly directly to him, praised him and myself of getting his weight down (he's a chonky boi!) and explained his detail health thoroughly and gave me advice on how to look after his tartar build up and explained no cleaning is currently needed, which is fantastic because i panicked! She even managed to et a very spicy boy's nails trimmed, taking her time to comfort him throughout the process. I have two cats who attend Medivet and I would not take them anywhere else.
