Meet our Partner, Sophie Carman
I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2017 and have been with Medivet since 2021, taking the exciting step to become Partner at Yateley in January 2026. Having grown up in Yateley, I’m so excited to be coming home and can’t wait to get to know all of your pets. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, focusing on internal medicine, and I have a particular soft spot for senior feline medicine. Outside of work, I’m kept busy with my two children.

The importance of the pets welfare was genuine and suggestions made how to her better. Was never pushed into a treatment and was told upfront what the fees would be with no pressure to go ahead. I was told to go away and think about it and when ready to contact the surgery. The treatment would also be covered by the Petplan we took out and was told what would be covered and not covered. Very friendly staff.

Sophie's expertise really helped with our older cat, she noticed things that our previous vets had missed. We're now working towards a more well rounded care plan for her. Really impressed, and very happy with the care and attention my cat is getting.

Only reason for the score was that Medivet have been in the news following an investigation into their charges.

I found Sophie the new vet very caring and understanding with my dogs. The vets have been very inconsistent at Yateley since Covid. I would never be sure which vet I would see so I am very happy that there is a new, very friendly, caring vet that has a vested interest in the practice which will provide stable and consistent appointments with the same vet.

One first free consult per newly registered pet, available to use for any pet species or age, up to 2 pets per client at Medivet Yateley. Emergency/out-of-hours and referral/specialty appointments excluded. This offer must be redeemed by booking an appointment occurring on or before 31st May 2026.
