Had to go for an emergency visit late at night, as I am a Medivet customer in Southwark and my clinic was closed. The diagnosis was correct, so the prescriptions, and I am not even complaining about being extremely overcharged given it was OOH service- 11pm at night (220£ for a consultation and an antibiotic). I am complaining about HOW the vet administered the medication on my puppy’s eyes. My dog was clearly under stress and, instead of calming him down with treats etc, the vet muzzled him and forcefully grabbed him ignoring all of the OBVIOUS signals that the dog was very uncomfortable. The result? He got traumatised and since then he got snappy and started biting whenever he sees the medicine. Now it is on US the work, training we need to put in to desensitise him from this TRAUMATIC experience! This is, part of the reason why, I am not renewing my membership with Medivet.

I didnt like the idea of hidden fees and costs.i wasn’t expecting to spend £70 yesterday, it seems i always get a nasty surprise whenever i visit your practice .

Called Medivet first thing this morning as my dog was in pain after pulling a muscle, they were fully booked but managed to offer me an appointment for 10:45 - all other vets I called didn’t have any appointments until at least tomorrow. The vet and student vet that we saw were very friendly and caring, they explained everything to me fully, answered all my questions and even picked up on a heart murmur that the vet she was previously registered at hadn’t noticed in the two years that she had been going there. Will definitely be switching to Medivet, they are a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for and I know I can definitely trust them with her care.

Absolutely horrible! Had an appointment today was a couple minutes late and I called them to let them know this - to my shock they refused to look at my dog esp since I did wait a week to be seen after telling them the issue is quiet urgent. As a healthcare provider this is absolutely disgusting especially when I have waited 45mins or longer to be seen before. Please choose another vet or branch if you genuinely want to have a healthcare provider that cares about your little one
