Having qualified from Edinburgh university in 1996 I started Feldon Veterinary Centres with two partners in 2000. I have gained General Practitioners certificate in Endoscopy and Endosurgery and in Emergency medicine and surgery. Heading up the minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy services I am passionate to promote the benefit of these procedures. I have a strong interest in surgery and enjoy seeing a wide variety of cases at the hospital.

I qualified from Cambridge university in 2009 and worked in mixed practice until 2013 when I joined the Leamington Spa team, having developed a bias towards small animal practice. I enjoy medical cases with my main interest being diagnostic imaging. I gained my General Practitioners certificate in Diagnostic imaging in 2015 and carry out the majority of ultrasounds at the hospital.

I graduated in 2005 from the Royal Veterinary College and went into mixed practice for the first five years. I then spent seven years at a small animal charity where I developed two interests: surgery and behaviour. During this time, I gained experience in advanced soft tissue surgery and completed an MSc in applied animal behaviour. Since coming to Medivet in August 2017, I have continued developing my interests further by learning keyhole surgery and obtaining my RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in companion animal behaviour. I have recently undertaken more of an inpatient role within the hospital and am really enjoying further study in internal medicine.

Having graduated as a vet in Liverpool University in 2004 , I spent my first 6 years in mixed practice in Yorkshire then South Worcestershire - both jobs having considerable on-call duties alongside busy daytimes. I then became a small animal day vet in Redditch for 5 years, starting the practice with ultrasonography and chemotherapy as well as honing my general surgical and medical knowledge. I became a night vet in South Wales for 5 years and have enjoyed emergency and critical care ever since. I joined Leamington Spa in the summer of 2020 as a night vet and relish a variety of cases.

After graduated in 2017 from Veterinary Faculty in Wroclaw, Poland, I enjoyed working in international environment in multiple veterinary hospitals in Europe, including Spain, Germany, The Netherlands and finally the UK. I always felt attracted by emergency and critical care medicine and now I will be working towards a post-graduate certificate in this field. I divide my free time between travelling and volunteering for abandoned animals.

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2005, shortly after I joined the Leamington hospital in October 2006, taking over the role of Head Nurse soon after. Joining the hospital team allowed me study and achieve my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2018. I lead a great team of 11 nurses and 3 patient care assistants, and we pride ourselves on our dedication to patient care. I enjoy all aspects of the role particularly emergency and critical care. I have passion for training and teaching, I am a clinical coach and regularly examine student nurses in their final exams. I am also part of the clinical committee striving to develop and improve our profession. I live in Warwickshire with my husband, two children, and our two dogs Peppa and Ecco. When I'm not at work I enjoy walking and horse riding.

After completing a degree in animal behaviour and welfare at Plymouth University, which included studying a group of kangaroos in Western Australia, I then studied to be a veterinary nurse, qualifying in 2020. I have recently completed a certificate in feline nursing from the International Society of Feline Medicine. I am the resident crazy cat lady, with two of my own, Rocky & Ralph. They are 12 year old black & white moggy's who do not act their age! I am the cat advocate at Leamington, ensuring the practice maintains their high standards in creating a calm and feline friendly environment for all patients. I am also particularly interested in running the weight clinics within the practice, helping owners and their pets on the journey to healthier, happier lives together.

I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2021, having originally joined the practice as a client care assistant in 2018. Since 2022 I have been the deputy head nurse at the hospital, working closely with our head nurse and senior veterinary surgeons to ensure smooth running of the business and to help provide exceptional client and patient care. I am a clinical coach and enjoy mentoring our students along their nursing journey. I have a love for the outdoors and getting lost in the countryside. I hope to one day soon have a bouncy, energetic dog to join me on those adventures!

My love for animals began when I worked at Pets at Home for three years and soon discovered my passion for the veterinary side of animal care. I have worked as a receptionist at another local vet practice but moved here to pursue my nursing. I started working at the Leamington Spa hospital as a PCA in July 2022 and started my Veterinary Nursing course in September 2023. I have one cat called Mango and fourteen reptiles (there are too many to name) at home and hope to specialise in these when I qualify.

I would recommend Medivet of Leamington to anyone. Both of our girl dogs were very well looked after throughout their care whilst they were spayed under keyhole surgery, and made full recovery’s almost instantly.

We took our dog in for his 6month check up and James gave him a thorough examination, found a nasty ear infection, took swabs and sent them off for inspection. He prescribed medication, followed up with 2 calls and explained everything fully. He has arranged for us to see a specialist within the Medivet group. We are very pleased with our interactions

I should have written this weeks ago when my cat was seen at Medivet, but the anger hasn’t left me. What we experienced was nothing short of a disgrace. The vet who saw him, Margot (a young lady), barely did a proper check. She was cold, uninterested, and acted like our cat was just another number on the list. After a quick feel of his bladder, she declared it was the “size of an orange” and claimed he needed immediate surgery costing £2,500 — a number she seemed to pluck out of thin air. No compassion, no detailed explanation, just a scare tactic paired with a ridiculous price tag. We asked if she could help relieve him by expressing his bladder. She clearly didn’t want to be bothered, but eventually did it — and sure enough, urine came out. She gave us some medication and said we had 24 hours if we wanted to proceed with surgery. Three hours later, after arranging the finances, we called to go ahead. This is where the scam tactics became obvious. The receptionist coldly told us we’d have to pay the consultation fee AGAIN (over £100) even though we had just been there hours earlier for the exact same issue. When we refused to pay again, they showed zero empathy. Instead, their “solution” was to offer us a discount to put our cat to sleep. Let that sink in. They wouldn’t budge on their extortionate fees to save his life — but they were more than happy to cut the cost if we wanted to kill him. Absolutely sickening. The very next day, we took him to a small local vet practice. Thank God we did. They told us his bladder was perfectly fine. The problem was crystals in his urine, which is very common in male cats and does not require immediate surgery. They kindly prescribed special food, anti-inflammatories, and medication to dissolve the crystals, with a follow-up planned. That is what real vets do: they treat the animal with care, compassion, and honesty. In conclusion: Medivet are nothing more than greedy opportunists who use fear and emotional blackmail to squeeze money out of people at their most vulnerable. They care more about lining their pockets than saving lives. To even dangle euthanasia as a “discount option” shows exactly what they stand for. If you love your pets, keep them far away from this shameless, money-grabbing practice. They’d rather see your animal dead than lose out on profit.
