Vesi Trufcheva

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as veterinary surgeon in 2006 from Trakia University, Bulgaria and I have been fortunate to work in EU and UK veterinary practices, which gave me broad experience of different professional and cultural approaches to veterinary policies and care. I have been working as a small animal vet in the UK since 2010. I have completed a rotational internship at a Referral Hospital and I have worked in independent and corporate practices, for the last 5 years as a senior vet at Medivet Acton. I have a particular interest in surgery and feline medicine. As a strong believer in the importance of team and personal development, I qualified as a clinical coach to support nursing training process, I have also mentored EMS students and supported junior vets with on-the-job training. As part of my ongoing personal development, I have been involved in clinical research and have presented an abstract at the ECVS annual scientific meeting. In 2023 I have been elected as BVA Council regional representative for London.

Reena Jeffrey

Veterinary Nurse

Reena first joined Medivet Acton all the way back in 1995 and went on to become Head Nurse from 2001 to 2006. After starting a beautiful family, Reena continued to support us by covering shifts whenever she could – a true team player through and through! In 2021, we were thrilled to welcome Reena back on a part-time basis. With experience in both exotic and small animal clinics, she brings a wealth of knowledge, care, and calm to every case. At home, Reena is kept company by her two beloved cats, Cherry and Romeo – and they’re just as lucky to have her as we are.

Prior, Morgan graduated at Aberystwyth University in 2014 in equine science. Morgan enjoys running our lab at the hospital, as much as looking after our critical care patients. Morgan spends free time hacking his pony Callie over Esher Common and spending time with his cat Luke.

Practice Manager

Hello, I’m Anna – I joined Medivet Acton in 2024 as a Practice Manager. At home, I’m outnumbered by two furry troublemakers, Odin and Hades — they may be small, but they run the show (I just pay the bills). I’m a proactive and optimistic person who believes a good book, a long bike ride, or a spontaneous trip can solve almost anything. When I’m not managing the practice or planning my next adventure, you’ll find me on the football pitch, fiercely defending the goal like it’s the last biscuit in the tin.

My cat Picchu was recently lethargic and off his food and I got an appointment the day I called. Valentina soon found a lump in his abdomen and was able to do an ultrasound there and then and confirmed that he has a lymphoma. Obviously this is a shock as he is only 10, but it was so helpful to know the facts so quickly so that we could decide how to go forward. Valentina and Vesi couldn’t have been more helpful, informative and sympathetic, which makes this sad experience much more bearable.

Sadly, my cat was diagnosed with a lymphoma but Valentina could not have taken more trouble. I was able to get an appointment for the same day, and when she felt a lump, she did an ultrasound and took bloods the same day. It’s very sad but she gave me the options and some steroids so at least he will be a bit better in the next few days/weeks. I am now waiting for the tests results and we will go from there.
