I graduated in 2006 and began my career working in practices in Kent and Yorkshire. I worked at a busy 24-hour veterinary hospital in the south-east of England in 2008 for 13 years, becoming clinical manager in 2014 and clinical director in 2017. I hold a postgraduate certificate in advanced veterinary practice in Small Animal Medicine, and am an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. I have a passion for internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic ultrasound and dermatology. I have a young family including a lively toddler and an energetic rabbit called Harvey. When not at work I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, and am a keen amateur photographer.

I have been employed with Medivet since January 2021. This was a big career change from my previous job of 25 years in Local Government but I am enjoying working with animals, their owners and the challenges each new day brings. I am originally from Luton and I have a degree in Child & Adolescence Studies. It was important to me to raise my four daughters with animals to learn the importance of responsibility, respect, empathy and compassion for all living things. Over 35 years in the family home we had 3 Rottweilers, a Labrador, a Shih tzu, a staffy, 3 cats, numerous hamsters, corn snakes, geckos and bearded dragons. More recently I shared my life with an adorable Border Terrier, named Jeff, having moved on to my narrowboat in Bedford Marina. I thoroughly enjoy living so close to nature, sharing breakfast with the swans 🙂. Outside of work I am kept busy with my 2 young grandchildren, on the committee of a motorcycle club, renovatating the boat, shooting (only clays) arts & crafts plus I love socialising, BBQs and live festival music.

Excellent vets practice. Very clean, very calm and relaxed. Waiting areas are separate for dogs and cats which reduces stress for the animals. So pleased I chose Clapham vets for our two rescue cats.

This vet provides by far the best services I’ve witnessed and experienced at a vet. They are caring, informative, they helped my dog with desensitising him to the vets and really help him feel comfortable which is so nice as he’s a nervous boy. All the vets, nurses and reception staff are helpful, empathetic and supportive.
