Avoid this Vet took our cat to see vet as appeared to have abdominal swelling £46 cost , to be told she can feel something in his abdomen vet advised a scan £100 which we had done 2 days later vet then told me there is something there and we had 4 options for our 13 year old family pet , 1) do nothing 2) medication £56 3) blood tests £305 4) A Biopsy / operation £2-2,500 The Biopsy the only way to find out for sure Called today after family discussion to request medication to be told that the vet that prescribed meds is off today so Sid would have to be seen again ? Another cost of £46 consultation even though the initial vet couldn’t give us the answers , also maybe a language barrier, seems more about money than pet care .

Great response to my call, late on a Friday afternoon. My cat had become ill throughout the day and I was concerned with the approach to a weekend. The receptionist listened attentively and asked sensible questions before consulting a colleague. I was advised to bring my cat to the surgery. On arrival he was taken for assessment. The vet talked me through options to find out the cause of his symptoms. One was a very expensive blood test (£170 ! 😮) which I authorised, the results were quick which I presume was why it cost so much. Although it wasn’t possible to get a definitive diagnosis, I was given some medication to administer at home, as well as injections at the surgery. I was also given follow up advice regarding vet availability for the following day. All in all, a prompt and efficient service. The only reason for dropping one star is because of the expense of this service as it cost me over £300 in total and I am still reeling from the shock!
