To order repeat prescriptions please email bloomsbury@medivet.co.uk. Please allow 72 hours for your prescription to be ready but we will contact you once your medication is ready to collect.

Originally from Yorkshire, Kirsty graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018 and received licenses to practice in both the UK and the USA, after completing two veterinary final exams. Since then she has worked in a mixture of busy hospital and small clinic environments, including a period in the Falkland Islands, before relocating to London. She has particular interests in Small-Animal Dentistry, the human-animal bond and providing a ‘fear-free’ experience for patients receiving veterinary care. She has recently completed the WSAVA certificate in pain management and holds an OV qualification for pet travel and exports. Kirsty enjoys travelling, running, and exploring new food and music venues across the city. She has two family pets, Lola the Labrador and a rescue cat, Panda the Turkish Angora.

I am a proud British-Canadian that calls Chiswick home here in London but I did, however, find my way to W4 from York in the North Riding of Yorkshire. I was indoctrinated into the animal fold from the day I was born with my best friends growing up being a border collie named Toby and a cat named Wellington Boots (Bootsy for short). My two best chums now (other than my wife, of course) are the lovely felines pictured here with me; Lilly at my left and Daisy at my right. I have been blessed with the company of eight cats and three dogs in my life thus far and am now proud to serve the companions of others in their times of need in WC1 and beyond. Also, my grandfather was born right here in Bloomsbury, in the heart of the city, so I am fully invested in serving this great, learned area as it runs in my blood. Outside of animals, my passion is sports - mainly football and hockey - and I am a season-ticket-holder at a football club here in London. I also love history and architecture which you'll see if you come visit us, as I have a 19th Century photograph of Gray's Inn Road at my desk.

Astonishing service, The vet is a cat whisperer! Not only was able to get a same day appointment. The vet was absolutely wonderfully kind, to both me and my poorly black cat Ti. I was expecting Ti to turn Panther and go into attack mode - BUT - instead Ti was perfectly chilled and got some meds, a next few days plan, on top of a complimentary health check, she even got her nails trimmed! I am always terrified of going to the Vet, number one in your mind is the worry for your beloved critter but it’s also because of the cost. I have pet insurance but the bill came in as okay’ish. It’s hard time but I’m over the moon that we now have a Medivet in Bloomsbury.

I took both my cats to get their eyes checked out, they are both getting on in their years and I thought it would be good to make sure that everything is all good with their eyes. The whole team at Bloomsbury were fantastic, they were very friendly and put myself and both of my cats at ease. Roza and Liz were very patient and caring with my cats and I even got to see photos of inside my cats eyes. I would definitely recommend Bloomsbury to anyone who wants to get their pets eyes checked out.

Vets and staff Susanna, Cecilia and Jasmin were exceptionally kind, careful and clear in explaining the reasons why our much loved cat's pain made it necessary to kill her by sedation (I hesitate to use any fashionable euphemisms), and the options for disposing of her remains. It also seems that these staff members and Medivet have been swift and accurate in processing the insurance claim that resulted, although we still await the claim's outcome. Being able to comfort our cat, and seeing her respond briefly -- despite the pain of a tumour and organ collapse -- were invaluable in anticipating the deaths of others we love and, indeed, of ourselves. What more can a cat give a human, a human a cat, and a vet both?

The vets and staff are great, but only opening during the afternoons is really inconvenient. I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM THAT THE CLERKENWELL BRANCH IS NO LONGER 24 HOURS. Kensington is now our nearest branch, which is miles away, so I shall be changing vets unfortunately

My partner and I brought our new puppy in for his final jabs, and honestly it was the best experience I could have asked for. They really tried to make him comfortable, and gave him biscuits and belly rubs. I am a first time pet owner, and they gave us so much advice and really made us feel at ease so much so that I feel confident that if I have any problems, I can give them a call, or just drop by. Definitely have recommended to people already!

Ordered something since they didn’t have it, said it would be there by 2pm and when I get there after a long walk they told me it wasn’t ordered...I couldn’t get my money back even though I paid cash and I would have to wait for head office to offer me a refund by phone. Pathetic, if you have new staff make sure you check what they are doing or train them accordingly.
