Medivet Canonbury

I have been awaiting a follow-up consultation with my veterinary surgeon for two weeks. Whilst the veterinarian I saw at my initial appointment was friendly, approachable, and provided helpful advice, I have since been unable to obtain the promised information necessary to make an informed decision regarding my pet’s care. Despite numerous telephone calls throughout this period, I am consistently told the veterinarian is unavailable and advised to ring back later. When I do manage to contact the practice, I receive only an estimated bill rather than the clinical information I require.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Regrettably, this has not materialised. Whenever I telephone the practice, I am informed that the veterinarian is unavailable and advised to call back when they are present. Even on occasions when I have followed this guidance, I have not received the promised information but have instead only been provided with an estimated bill.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A great deal to like here, and we have been coming with our cats for years. Our biggest beef with you is the ridiculous price you charge for your prescriptions / medications. Which can generally be purchased online, from perfectly reputable sources, for anywhere between 60% to100% less.
And indeed, some of the vets have actually recommend that we do exactly this - purchase on line - because your own prices are so ridiculous.
That apart .... as you can see ... we think you are very good. But the cost of medicines that can be given / applied at home are one thing (because they can be avoided, and purchased elsewhere, if necessary with at prescription), the cost if a pet needs to be actually treated in-house so to speak ... that is unavoidable. And, as much of the media has reported, in the press and on radio and television, that is sad, not to say thoroughly deserving of censure!

Myself and pet saw a different vet that we didn't know and it would be nice for any future vets my pet sees for me as the owner be told please .
Instructions for any medications/prescription be more clearer
As Myself the owner was over priced for medication not used which was returned to canonbury medivet for safety disposal
Prices on things like medication, bloodtests etc told to the owner
The overall medivet practice was clean except the flooring and are the examination tables disinfected after every cat or dog?

I am always happy to visit medivets. I have been taking my young cat, Kofi , there for Iver a year, since she was a kitten...she acts in a calm way as if she knows she is in a safe, happy place with caring people.

All the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming made the whole experience easy for me as a new pet owner. my puppy was also treated brilliantly by all staff and vet
