Veterinary Nurse

Hey there! I'm Sarah, a final year student at the College of Animal Welfare. For the past three years, I've been diving into the world of animal care with Medivet. At home, it's a full house with my two dogs, Milo and Buster, a sassy cat named Tequila, and two bearded dragons adding some exotic vibes. When I'm not in study mode, you'll catch me outdoors. Hiking, camping, and just enjoying nature—it's my way of hitting pause. Excited about the animal welfare journey ahead! Stick around for some paw-sitivity and adventures!

From the moment my dog and I enter the reception, we are not only welcomed but treated with such kindness and warmth and, very meaningfully, remembered and known. We carry on conversations from last month and chat about how my dog is doing and he gets given some treats and loved on.
This puts me at such ease because it makes me feel that my dog is safe in everybody’s hands- the being remembered instantly with specifics unrelated to the issue we’re here for, so that even if we’re seeing a different vet this time, I’m not feeling anxious and the nervous need to reexplain his whole history or his complex needs.
I also feel that especially because of this warm, open energy in the reception, and the warm, general back-and-forth chat in reception about how my dog and I are doing recently and what we’ve been up to (which is more difficult to have in a vet appointment when it of course needs to be more clinical with specific questions about eg movement with arthritis), that this is a holistic practice where my whole dog is welcome and understood, and myself, as his caretaker and as my own person, is as well.
The people at Dalston Medivet make it what it is, I am so thankful for their kind, gentle manner and the whole team’s fantastic competence and expertise that is on display at all times.

I originally booked vaccinations for my three brand new puppies at 8 weeks, taking advantage of a promotional rate of £19.99 per puppy. I confirmed with the receptionist beforehand and was advised to bring £59.97 total. However, when I arrived, I was surprised to be charged £90.91 over £30 more than expected without any prior explanation. I was told one of the puppies needed the same vaccination for £60, which hadn’t been mentioned during booking. Had I known, I might have explored more cost-effective options. On a positive note, the clinic was clean and the staff were friendly throughout my visit. But due to the lack of clear communication and unexpected pricing, I wouldn’t recommend Medivet Dalston based on transparency alone.

I was charged on a repeat prescription at one vets even though I put repeat prescription with another Med Vets. if it wasn’t for Karen to have made this aware I could’ve paid tor items twice and also wasn’t offered the breakdown but In future I will ask for the breakdown.
A small complaint but apart from this mistake all else is well and an extremely good vets.
