Veterinary Nurse

I have been at the practice since 2018 and qualified in 2022. I am interested in surgical nursing and anaesthesia. Most of my time outside of work is spent rehabilitating the wildlife that have been brought into the practice. I rehab wild birds that are either injured or too young to fend for themselves. I also deal with other wildlife that come into the practice needing care. I have 2 extra-large aviaries at home, with a further few smaller soft release cages and an isolation shed. As well as the wildlife being rehabilitated I also have a Border Collie named Riley, African grey parrot called Nikki, and 2 rescue cats from practice called Beetle and Ken.

I have been at the practice since 2015 with a few clinical breaks within this time. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Ross and spoiling my fur babies. I have a Cane Corso called Akeela, Maine Coon cross called Zeus and a fancy rat named Boo. I qualified in 2019 and have an interest in dentistry and consults / medical nursing and hope to complete my certificates in Dentistry and medical nursing in the next coming years. I have also done further certificates in schedule 3 surgical nursing. Over the past 8 years I have managed to rehome over 30+ animals that have been brought into the practice needing new homes.

I have been working at the practice since 2023. At home I have 2 Mini Dachshunds (Frankie & Otis), Golden Labrador Winnie and a long haired cat Elvis. I have love of all animals and wanting to give customers the best service possible. I've only started working for Medivet in September but I love my job and the lovely staff I work with, they are all a credit to the surgery.

5/9/2024 Just wish that the cost of veterinary medicine could be a lot less especially in these somewhat straitened times…which are likely to become a whole lot worse for many…many who may have to lose, give up their pets simply because they can’t afford to maintain not just the pets’ food but the pets health, and any insurances held, when premiums will inevitably follow…I do understand the MediVet position.

Always helpful over phone and face to face. Prompt response to ordering flea and worming treatment. Always sensitive to concerns I may have about my cat and gentle in his care.

Have been with this vet for years. They've been really reliable in relation to looking after my dogs when they've been sick. Unfortunately, my dog passed away, but the surgeons and staff there were very kind and supportive and made sure she didn't suffer. Recently, I took in an injured pigeon as well, and they've taken good care of it and provided me with updates when I've asked how it's getting on. It was a little expensive at times, but it definitely a great group of people work there.

my dog is very anxious and reactive and the staff made him feel relaxed and safe. The vet was reassuring and positive which enabled my dog to allow him to do things. Other vets haven’t been able to before. They were all fantastic. I’m very happy to say we found a vets that we feel safe to go to. Thank you so much.

This practice is amazing. The staff are absolutely fantastic, they were so compassionate and supportive when I lost my German shepherd last year, and have been incredible with our new additions this year. I love to swing by with my pups just to say hello, the staff are very friendly and great to chat too. Always there with great advice when I need it. The only negative thing I have to say, and this is not about the practice or the staff - just the way that animal medication is marked up by all veterinary practices… it’s ridiculous. For example, to worm 3 dogs through the vets it would cost £330 every 3 months. To buy the same medication elsewhere (with a prescription (which has a cost)) is £87.

Very pleased with how everyone in this practice has looked after all of our fur babies from rabbits to our dog. Tony has been wonderfully patient and thorough. Elise and Millie have both been fantastic and super helpful answering any questions we’ve had. They’re a brilliant team.
