I’m sharing Jae’s story because all staff at Medivet Oakdale, involved in the care of Jae were outstanding. I took my beautiful 11 year old Cocker Spaniel to the vets on Thu 31 Oct 24. Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, Jae was extremely poorly. Kate (vet) and Emily (nurse) were on hand straight away. Jae was in shock and deteriorating fast. The ultra sound scan showed Jae had fluid in her abdomen. The X ray showed that Jae had tumours all over her body. There was only one outcome and that was for Jae to peacefully go to sleep. Kate and Emily, gave my son and I precious time before and after to stay with her. Emily was fantastic with my son by preoccupy him when needed. They were both very professional. It was a horrible start to the day. Kate, in between treating Jae still had to see other patients. I can not thank Kate and Emily enough for their support, empathy and compassion. I would also like to thank Caroline (receptionist) who put me at ease about where Jae was during her cremation. Anyone, who has lost a loving pet, please speak to Caroline as she is also caring and empathetic and will kindly talk you through the process of a cremation if that’s what you choose. Jae came back home this morning. She is back with our 2 Springer Spaniels. 5 stars isn’t enough for Kate, Emily and Caroline. I will be forever thankful to you all. Jae was in the best hands. Thank you.

I am incredibly grateful to Kate and the team at Medivet Oakdale for their care and expertise. My cat was experiencing serious discomfort, and they quickly identified the issue. The staff was compassionate and thorough and thanks to their swift and professional response, my cat is now back to his happy, healthy self.

Logistics of a trip into Europe with our Motorhome and pet dog lead to us enquiring with Medivet Oakdale about having our Animal Health Certificate completed (as we're from Lancashire). They were prompt in replying to our enquiry and getting us all booked in. Before our appointment for this, our dog managed to injure her leg and so required us to make her an additional appointment for that. At all points in the process, we experienced excellent friendly service and care. We would highly recommend this practice. First class service from Kate and the whole team. Thank you.

Have just switched Vets to Medivet, what a difference to previous Vet's. The whole team were extremely friendly and really helpful enabling our switch to them very easy, helpful and knowledgeable. The vet was really caring and kind with our anxious little dog and took time with him. Thank you so much team for a really happy and caring first visit, will definitely recommend. After losing my beloved Shih Tzu in December, I was heart broken and the staff were amazing with him and our family. I now have another little addition to my life and you’re always so kind, understanding, sensitive to my loss and giving my little pup the best care and advice I could have wished for. When you lose a pet it’s a family member and even with my very special baby I’m besotted with, I miss my other baby and that’s never over looked. I can’t thank all of the staff enough for their kindness, care and knowledge and also support. I would recommend medivet to anyone who has a pet as I know they care about every animal as if they were their own and take the owners into account too. I ever grateful. Thank you!
