Great staff!

My pets have gone to this practice from the day I got them and I’ve only ever had positive experiences with them. Lisa on reception is always so welcoming and a joy to speak to, always going above and beyond for my pets who tend to be quite nervous when coming in. I recently brought my cat in to have his bladder expressed for a urine sample, Chantai, one of the nurses was brilliant, so calm and gentle. My cat is a very nervous boy but his experience was made to be very stress free as Chantai handled him with so much care and made sure he was as comfortable as possible. Everyone at medivet Southwark has been consistently outstanding and I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else. Highly recommend!

The team at Medivet are always wonderful, but they really went above and beyond during a recent visit with my very unwell pup. Despite her making quite a mess (twice!), the staff were kind, calm, and incredibly supportive — never once making me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. Their compassion made a stressful situation so much easier. Thank you!

Lovely vet , very good with my dog who was quite nervous

From the moment we arrived at Medivet Southwark, everyone was kind, professional and welcoming. Dr. Giuseppe was gentle, thorough and took the time to listen to my concerns. He explained everything in a way that made me feel both informed and reassured. My boy was treated with such care and compassion and I’m happy to see that he is finally back to he’s playful and lively self. I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Giuseppe and the rest of the Medivet Southwark team. Highly recommend this practice!

On the 7th May 2025, I had a disturbing experience in the reception area. A man entered with an XL Bully that was clearly out of control (the dog was dragging him around, wouldn't sit, had to be jerked onto the scale and the owner was constantly shouting and slapping it across the face for it to be "disciplined"). Despite trying to sit across the room, the owner couldn't contain the dog and the XL Bully eventually ran towards us and tried to jump on me and my dog (whom I was carrying in my arms). I shouted at the owner, but he took no responsibility and made excuses all whilst picking up the furniture that his dog knocked over in the process. What was disappointing was the lack of response from the reception staff as they simply watched and kept quiet (even afterwards). There is no protocol in place to ensure the safety of clients and their pets when dangerous breeds are brought in, and only the head vet (Giuseppe) acknowledged the incident, offered an apology and even ensured the other dog had already left before we exited the consult room. This was a deeply unsettling visit and unfortunately having to worry about your own safety and that of your pet is the last thing you want at the vet.
