Medivet Stroud Green

All staff, reception and vets, are polite and friendly. The vets take time to listen and interact with you and your pet, and will take time to explain matters, without you feeling rushed. The rates are also very reasonable, especially if you're signed up to one of their regular plans. Highly recommended.

I lived in Finsbury Park for many years and used MediVet Stroud Green for my cat, where I always found the service friendly and professional and, my cat was always comfortable.
Then 5 years ago I moved home, so thought I should seek a Vet practice a bit nearer, and so I tried another (Village Vet in Highgate) where the service was utterly appalling ! They were renovating the premises, but rather than restrict appointments to emergency only, they were taking all, including potential new clients like myself. Clients were made to wait outside in the rain with their pets in baskets, and then come appointment time the animals were just taken away and simply returned without any consultation or personal service. Just a bill, which I refused to pay, so had a big confrontation with them.
The next day I went straight back to Medivet, the small extra journey is well worth it.
From the moment you walk in the staff are friendly and welcoming, my cat always feels comfortable in reception, and come appointment time you never feel rushed or pressured by the vet. They listen to you and take care to make the pet at ease, and deal with them kindly.
The rates are also very reasonable, especially if you are signed up to the regular plan with some regular check ups included, discounts on medication and food and all round good service.

My poor little Frenchie Manuel arrived at medivet with a sore toe and left in a coffin!!! I hate medivet more that anything in the world!!

It’s such a shame that Zasman sold to Medivet, and we lost the whole group of staff, Ruth lead vet, along with nurse staff like Daisy. The positive reviews on here are mainly because of the Zasman staff. Tired of always having to see different staff, and the costs are very high. It just seems focused on profits. My pet has gone here all their life but unfortunately I will now be going to a different vet.

I wasn’t told to bring a urine sample…and the first question from the visiting doctor: Do you have a urine sample? The Stroud Green location has too many vets; I seldom see the same one twice. He didn’t check my dog’s weight or eyes, failed to notice the hair loss on my dog’s feet, and forgot to check for lumps, so I reminded him as I was being ushered out. Corporate doctoring at its absolute worst. I even had to ask him to read my pet’s history at one point! Finding an independent vet is so hard in London that I’m stuck with this.
