Rawdon Capell

Veterinary Surgeon and Branch Partner

Hi, I’m Rawdon. Born and raised on the east coast of South Africa. I qualified as a vet in 2020 from the University of Pretoria. My wife and I moved to the UK in 2022 along with our little cat, Kiki, and have subsequently had a little boy. I worked at a Medivet practice for three years and joined the Teddington practice as branch partner in May 2025. We love Teddington and I can’t wait to serve the people and pets of this community. I love all aspects of general practice but have a special interest in dermatology. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and your furries. See you soon!

Our local Medivet in Teddington has had a succession of vets in the 6 years we’ve lived here. A lot of the vets have been locums and latterly the practice is only open Monday to Thursday. No thought has been given to clients without cars. I’m advised that the business are trying to recruit a permanent vet but in the interim the service being provided is dire. Recent research for a dogs teeth clean and scale has shown Medivet’s are charging a minimum of £140 more than 2 other local vets. The practice does not show the costs of veterinary practices or medications. That is not acceptable. Even private medical for humans advertise their prices. I am totally disappointed and disgusted in this business. The latest locum showed no interest in our pooch when we took him in for their “free dental” check up. It was the dog needs a scale and polish. That cost is £500.04

I want to praise all the staff for the wonderful friendly, helpful and professional service they provide in looking after us and our pet cat Poppy. Everyone seems to go over and above to make sure we, are taken care and take care in sometimes difficult situations. I want to make particular mention of veterinarian Dan, who is highly conciencious and has made us extremely grateful for the time and effort he has put into our cat Poppy's care so far. We feel extremely grateful for his efforts and look forward to our continued excellent care at Teddington Vets. Thank you.
