Had an emergency with my dog Pami and the receptionist were kind to offer all details I needed by phone ( am approximately piometry surgery costs etc) and they even booked to see us same day in another of few hours. Doctor Neil saw us and after seeing us for 2 days in a row then advised us to go to surgery. Him and receptionist made all the bookings etc so we can easily arrive for surgery. We did paid for each visit and surgery ( this was done by Animal Trust Barnsley). Doctor Neil has given us a fair assessment for our dog and now she is happy back home with us. Hope this review gets back to him as we truly appreciate his help and dedication in helping animals. Where our own practice failed us as couldn't even offer some initial information without waiting for hours the Medivet Arncliffe have stepped in and now are our hero along animal trust Barnsley 👏 🙌 Pami and her family thanks to all who helped her ❤️

Always waiting to pay the bill and the dogs always get agitated. Staff talking amongst themselves (not Kirsty at wath) parking always a problem! Different staff consintanley at wath !

Was kept waiting over 15 minutes on already reschedules appointment due to sickness.
My dog only came for her claws clipping and they aren't done to satisfaction. More than one are still too long .

Took my dog to Medivet yesterday the 19th November 2025 as she kept licking her lips & salivating which is something she's never done before. The vet seemed nice & she checked inside her mouth, felt at her tummy, weighed her & took her temperature, she advised me that all was fine & she couldn't see or feel anything. When we went to the reception to pay for the 10 minute consultation I nearly collapsed. It cost us £50 which I think is utterly disgusting!!! Obviously it's all about the money & not the caring side of being a vet, we are a nation of animal lovers so vets today take advantage of that!! At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed people!!!!!😡

The vet seen was top drawer very nice & polite trying to assist my needs I shall definitely be back to this practice.
Only thing with all vet practices is the expense I feel more animals are suffering through not being able to afford pet care and the government should support these people xx
