I’m Beth one of the nurses at Whitchurch. I have been part of the Whitchurch team for nearly 8 years now! Over the years I have loved getting to know all our clients and their pets and experiencing their pet journeys with them. I enjoy all parts of my job but especially enjoy emergency care and the nursing and rehabilitation of our patients. At home I have Coco my staffie cross along with Tiger-Lily the cat and 4 guinea pigs that like to keep me busy.

Head Veterinary Nurse

I'm Tom Griffiths, I become head nurse here at Medivet Whitchurch in April 2023. I worked in a mixed practice in Cheshire for 14 years and after that I worked in a referral hospital in the Northwest for 6 years, where I completed my BSc Hons in Veterinary nursing along with my Advanced Diploma in Veterinary nursing, my main interest is anaesthesia. In my spare time I like to go out for walks with my partner Debbie and 11-year-old Basset hound Basil, I also operate amateur radio, and play crown green bowls in the summer.

Freddie is my cat and is almost 20 years old. He has a thyroid problem and has 6 monthly bloods taken to check his thyroid and kidney levels. On Wednesday I took him to the vets to have his usual bloods. When vet Helen weighed him she found he had lost weight and as it was a repeat of his last tests she voiced her concerns and suggested he needed a full blood count doing and, by an outside agency, just to check there was nothing else going on. Helen was reassuring and promised to ring me as soon as the results were received. After having his blood taken and claws trimmed, Helen brought Freddie back to me and the nurse said he'd been a perfect gentleman. Helen again reassured me that this was the best next step and, if his meds needed changing or something else needed prescribing then that could be all sorted on Friday. I like how all the vets and nurses care about the patients under their care.

Ever since we have been taken our family pet’s to Whitchurch Medivet we have always received the best care going. It like being part of a big family, even more so this past month with having to say goodbye to one of our much loved fur babies.
