Olivia Bloor

Veterinary Care Assistant

I am a Student Veterinary Nurse with 10 years of experience working in the veterinary profession. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for animal welfare, patient care, and supporting both pets and their owners. Animals have always been at the heart of my life. At home, I share my family with four dogs and four cats, giving me first-hand experience of the joys and challenges of caring for multiple pets. In addition to my own animals, I regularly foster neonatal puppies and kittens, helping them on their journey to finding loving forever homes. My experience in both professional practice and fostering has strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every animal I meet. I am dedicated to continuing my education and developing my skills as a veterinary nurse, ensuring the best possible outcomes for my patients and their families. When I'm not studying or working, you'll usually find me spending time with my pets, supporting rescue efforts, or caring for foster animals in need.

1 star — Highly unprofessional and not caring Brought my 9 week old puppy in for an eye check as I was very concerned about his vision. The vet was very grumpy and made us feel like a hindrance for bringing him in to see a “professional.” She left the room twice during our appointment to see another animal, and was then interrupted by a customer wanting her to look at his cat. She wasn’t even going to look at my pup’s eyes until I reminded her. When she did, she gave no detail of what it could be — just that I “may need a referral” — before telling us we could let ourselves out and book online as they didn’t have time, because they had to see this cat. Got a second opinion today and it turns out what’s wrong with his eyes could be serious, with possible blindness. That vet spent nearly an hour with us. This vet couldn’t give us 5 minutes of her attention. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt their care hasn’t been good enough, but I gave them a second chance. Don’t know why I bothered. Highly unprofessional, not caring — avoid at all costs.
