Client Care Assistant

Hi I'm Julie, I'm a client care assistant here at Dartford. I have always had a passion for animals and have worked in the veterinary industry for over 15 years. Prior to that I volunteered at an animal charity looking after the cats in their care. I have always worked on reception but have also been a nursing assistant and have loved every single moment. To make a difference to any animal in need and help you, their owners makes it all worthwhile and so very rewarding. Every day brings something new and I could not see myself in any other profession. I have my Cocker spaniel Cooper at home and in any spare time I have I love to be out walking with him in the woods. I also like to relax with family and friends. My dream would be to open my own rescue centre and provide a safe haven for as many animals as I can.

Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

Emergencies don't keep office hours. Our hospital is open 24 hours, with vets and nurses on site and ready to see you, whatever the time.

Our 24 hour practices and external out-of-hours providers offer exceptional, around-the-clock intensive care to critically ill pets.

Your local Medivet practice will be able to issue an Animal Health Certificate for EU travel.

Some of our practices have been awarded cat-friendly clinic status by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test used to detect certain defects in your pet’s heart.

Using a tiny, flexible camera, we’re able to view internal body parts with little surgical intervention.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.

Our nurses run weight, dental, post-op, puppy and senior clinics. They're often the easiest first port of call for the smaller questions in between full appointments.

Our experienced orthopaedic team look after pets when bones, joints or ligaments need a closer look.

Neutering is a medical procedure that prevents pets from being able to reproduce, and comes with a host of other health benefits.

I cannot praise Medivet Dartford enough! I’ve spent an awful lot of time there over the last 18 months, 2 of my Chihuahuas were diagnosed with heart issues and their care has been second to none, Lillie and Oscar have been given a whole new lease of life. Even when my Rocky had an epileptic seizure, again, they were fantastic! When I lost my Roxie last year due to Pyometra, they were caring and compassionate. My Lillie was diagnosed with Pyometra in January and they saved her life then but I was told she was not a candidate for surgery to remove her uterus because of her heart issues and age. In August she once again developed Pyometra, but the vet offered to do the operation, it was a risk but I could have lost Lillie either way so we went ahead with the operation! 2 weeks later and 2 post operation check ups, my Lillie is a different dog, they literally saved her life and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone at Medivet Dartford for all the care they have provided, not just to Lillie but to my other Chihuahuas and to myself and my daughter! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will never go anywhere else! P.S. spose I had better fess up that I actually have 7 Chihuahuas, and you’ve only met 4 of them, sorry 😁

I was waiting on receiving my cats ashes before writing this but I'm so unbelievably let down and angry with MediVet as a whole I could SCREAM. The past two weeks have been so traumatic for me. From start to finish. Medivet Beckenham failed my cat and since handing in my cat to the Dartford branch it seemed as if she was declining even more. My cat had declined so much she turned blind and lost all movement in her legs. She could see and move prior to this! Regardless of that I am sickened by the way they have approached my cats end of life. We said goodbye to her on the 10th of August in the morning and was told it would be 7 days until we receive her ashes. No one told me to directly call the vets to discuss how her ashes were to be presented I was just handed a leaflet and sent on my way. I chased them up on the 15th August asking for an update and got no response. I then called them and they explained on the phone it would take 2 weeks.. they didn't mention the urn situation ( they should have as we didn't know any better we thought she had already been sent off) I then get a call on the 18th!!!! Saying there's a delay because nothing was noted down regarding how her ashes should be presented, I then told them I wasn't happy as my cat has now been sitting there for over a week!!!!! I am sickened. It's now the 26th and I have had no update. Apparently she will be ready on the 3rd September which I unacceptable, my heart is broken in ways you would not understand. She should already be home with me. I want my cats ashes back now. I will never, ever trust these vets again.

I received a phone call on the day of my appointment informing me that the veterinary nurse was not coming to work, so my appointment had to be rescheduled. As a result, I had to take another day off work. Unfortunately, I was 10 minutes late for the rescheduled appointment and was refused the appointment. I find this very unfair, especially considering that every time I arrive on time, I still have to wait around 15 minutes to be seen. I am very disappointed with this experience and expected more understanding from the practice.

We took our new kitten here on Monday and the vet was amazing, made such a fuss of her and gave her a really thorough check over which revealed she had a lot of wax in her ears which had been irritating her so he cleaned them out, started her first injections gave her a little treat for being a good girl and the whole experience was lovely, we return in a few weeks for her second jab, because she’s tiny, they’re doing the jab in three lots and her microchip will be on the third go so that she doesn’t get distressed that’s such a young tiny age . The reception staff were very welcoming as always and I loved the memory box on the windowsill as we lost her one year-old kitty last month , who was also registered at the practice so we popped a little heart in the box for her

Took our little bubby kitten there today for health check and vaccination start, our vet made such a fuss of her and was very thorough checking her over and removed build up of wax in her little ears that had been causing her to scratch them, Our older cat Mayo also goes there and they ve always been great with her too .. we lost our other cat Ani a few weeks ago to a cat accident and I wrote on a little wooden heart and placed it in the window box (memory box) I thought that was a lovely idea .. highly recommend here

Changed over to this vet from pets at home because it has an in house emergency vet. Didn't use them for a while but then made an appointment 2 weeks ago, paid for a urine test which I handed in the next day but no call back yet. I rang them 3 days ago and someone who doesn't usually work there answered and "put the job out to ask the vets that are working to call me" but still nothing... my dog is still wetting himself poor thing and I don't know if simple anti biotics could help. Gave 2 stars because they actually found me an earlier appointment to begin with which meant he was seen quicker. In hindsight that was for nothing. I'm giving them 1 more day and transferring back....
