I made the appointment two days before and asked for one specific vet. I was assured this vet was available at the time I chose. However, my dog was treated by a different vet. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she was apologetic but I was not very pleased. Careless appointment booking.

After receiving the medication for my pet I then looked on the internet to find the price of the tablets were available at £1.25 per tablet not £4.25 I paid to your selfs & I didn’t need a prescription for same medication I know you have to earn money which I appreciate but given the option if told I still will use your vets but I would like to be told what medication I getting so I could look for a cheaper option as fees are costly enough

It was very difficult to book the appointment type I needed online as it wasn’t one of the given options.
I rang three times to ask a staff member to help me make the appointment and felt rather fobbed off each time as it was any excuse to get me off the phone and back to trying again myself online or calling back when “the system had managed to update”.
During our appointment in practice, it was chaotic with several staff members but not much action. We waited over an hour for our appointment without explanation. I was told by the vet after the hours wait that my puppy shouldn’t have been on the floor as she is not fully vaccinated but I politely said the receptionists did not advise me of this nor did any of the vets who observed us during the hour long wait and has the vet ever tried to keep an energetic, heavy puppy still in their arms and not on the floor for over an hour? I also pointed out that the receptionist actually asked me to weigh her on the communal scales too which I presume were used by all animals visiting the practice.
The strong push on upselling the insurance plans was very evident and too much for me as three members of staff all tried it with me after I’d already politely declined as we opt to self insure.
I wouldn’t hurry back or recommend Medivet.

Overnight vet was overkeen to euthanise my pet when tests and waiting proved she would make a full recovery. On collection waited half an hour from the appointment time and paperwork still wasn’t ready. Charges astronomical. Pet was in for less than 24 hours yet charged 2 days hospital fee and I suspect that I wasn’t able to collect at lunchtime to ensure the additional charges. Lady on reception appeared incompetent with computer system and accounts system.
