Meet our Partner, Koot Kruger
I grew up on a farm in South Africa and after qualifying as a veterinary surgeon in South Africa, I worked in small animal practice in Johannesburg for a number of years. In 1998 my wife, Marisa, and I, as well as our two cats, Skat and Mata, moved to the UK. Marisa and I worked in a small animal practice in Sussex and we joined Medivet in 2003.
Meet our Partner, Walter Natoli
I initially trained as a Veterinary Nurse at the University of Central Lancashire before qualifying as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Bologna in 2016. I received the Italian national Massimo D’Acierno Award in 2017 for the best thesis in exotic animal medicine. With a lifelong passion for reptiles, I also founded Hellenic Dragons, breeding bearded dragons in a variety of colours and morphs.
After working in Italy and collaborating with specialist exotic animal organisations, I moved to the UK in 2020. I now work at Medivet, treating small and exotic animals, and am studying towards my European Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cat, Kanye, my bearded dragons and my houseplants. I also love long beach walks with my partner and our Dobermann, Febo.
Your Vet in Danbury
Medivet Danbury is your local vet practice for dogs, cats and a wider range of pets too. One of our team holds a certificate in exotic animal practice, so reptiles, small mammals and avian pets all have a familiar face here. Whichever pet shares your home, we'd be happy to see them.

I've been with Medivet for many years, and they have always been there for my dogs. The care and consideration towards my pets and ultimately me has been outstanding. Testimony to this care is having moved from the area we happily travel back to them for any concerns we have with out pet. Excellent service.

Walter is a superbly empathetic and caring vet. Brilliant knowledge with the bearded dragons and gave superb advice. The practise is lovely and the rooms are clean. Parking is tight but plenty of spaces.

After almost two decades in the vet industry myself I knew it wouldn't be easy to find a decent exotic vet - with guinea pigs commonly falling in this category now. With one of my new piggies needing an appointment, I was recommended to see Walter at Medivet Danbury. What a knowledgeable and caring guy. A very thorough first appointment, with lots of time to answer all of my new owner questions and today and at my second visit, my guinea pig has got the all clear following her treatment👏🏼 Great service! Nice to find a local vet confident in exotic care and at reasonable prices too.

I am really happy with the service of Medivet Danbury. Whenever any emergency appointment I needed for my cavapoo boy Milo they tried their best to arrange it. All staffs are very friendly and Doctors too. I would strongly recommend Medivet Danbury branch for other pet owners.

More than just dogs and cats
Reptiles, small mammals and other exotic companions don't always show a problem the way a dog or a cat does. Our team is set up to see them, with quieter spaces and the kit to look properly. If you've got a tortoise, a bearded dragon, a rabbit or something else at home, we'd be happy to take a look.
We offer Healthcare Plans
Our clients save up to £280 each year with the Medivet Healthcare Plan.
