I initially trained as a Veterinary Nurse at the University of Central Lancashire before earning my veterinary medicine degree from the University of Bologna – Alma Mater – in 2016. Following graduation, I was honoured to receive the Italian national Massimo D'Acierno 2017 award for the best thesis in exotic animal medicine. My passion for reptiles began when I was 12 years old with my first rescue green iguana, Iggy. During university, my interest in genetics inspired me to start breeding bearded dragons in a wide range of colours and morphs, leading to the creation of Hellenic Dragons. After several years working in Italy, I collaborated with the exotic animal hospital Modena Sud, served as Secretary of the Linnaeus Association, and became a member of the Italian Society of Exotic Animal Medicine (SIVAE). In 2020, I moved to the UK to continue my career. I joined the Medivet team, where I treat both small and exotic animals while working towards becoming a European Certified General Practitioner (GPCert) in Exotic Animal Practice. I am of Sicilian and Greek heritage and enjoy spending time with my cat, Kanye, my bearded dragons, and my ever-growing collection of houseplants. Outside of work, I love taking long walks on the beach with my partner and our Dobermann, Febo.

I joined Medivet in 2007 and started my training to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse at Medivet College in 2008. I qualified in 2011 and started at Danbury as Head Nurse from then. I love my job as I get to see different animals and cases every day. Being part of one practice for so long I feel I have good relationships with the clients and their pets. I have 2 cats of own, both rescues from work, Smudge and Colin. I have a horse called Freddy and a tortoise called Pav.

I started working with Medivet at Hockley in 2003 and qualified in 2007. I was then Head Nurse at the South Woodham branch for 5 years. I decided to gain more experience working at a practice outside of Medivet and did night nursing for a year and a half which increased my knowledge in emergency and critical care nursing. I have two daughters, a husband, two Jack Russell’s, a horse and have just acquired a pony for my girls! I started working part time at Danbury in September 2022. I enjoy theatre work (monitoring patients under anaesthetic), nurse consultations and helping with student nurse training.

Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

Your local Medivet practice will be able to issue an Animal Health Certificate for EU travel.

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test used to detect certain defects in your pet’s heart.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.

Our nurses run weight, dental, post-op, puppy and senior clinics. They're often the easiest first port of call for the smaller questions in between full appointments.

We’re excited to share with you that Medivet clients* can now book appointments online.

Ultrasound lets us look inside the abdomen and the heart without surgery or sedation. It's often the natural next step after blood work when something isn't quite adding up.

Vet Blood Supplies is part of the Medivet community, and together we work to save the lives of dogs across the country.

We use x-ray machines to quickly diagnose issues that might affect your pet.

Registered our 2 cats online and had to book an appointment to bring them in to complete registration. It said registration was free but we got charged £181? I am shocked at £181 bill to weigh 2 kittens to register them at a vet? Is this normal?

Koot & Walter are like family, they have both been absolutely fabulous with their caring empathetic approach. Nothing is too much and they take time and patience with all that walk through the door. Special mention to all support staff who again we cannot fault, despite being run off their feet and sometimes short staffed, they have dedication and patience too. When we had to say goodbye to our dog Cody in 2025 it was peaceful and dignified Koot was very supportive and caring. Then 3 months later when our cat LJ was savagely attacked by a dog Medivet pulled out all the stops to treat her and get her through the ordeal despite her age (18) and terrible injuries they loved and treated her and here she is living the dream thanks to this brilliant Vets WELL DONE DANBURY A supernova on the darkest days x

I can't put into words how grateful I am to Koot and the Medivet Danbury team! My dog Arlo means the world to me, and knowing he's in Koot's care gives me complete peace of mind. From the very beginning, Koot has shown so much kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. He always takes the time to listen, explain everything thoroughly, and never makes us feel rushed. It's clear that caring for animals isn't just a job to him, it's something he truly cares about. Arlo is always treated with such gentleness and respect, and that means everything to me. During some worrying times, Koot's knowledge & reassurance have made all the difference, and I'll never forget the care he's given us. I feel incredibly lucky to have found a vet I trust so completely. I honestly couldn't recommend Medivet Danbury more highly.
