Medivet Greenwich

I am so pleased with the care we and our dog received today with her euthanasia appointment. The reception staff, vet and the nurse where all wonderful, special thanks to Chloe and Danny for this care of us humans. It was a very tough day made easier by the team.

If I could give no stars I would. I was turned away from this practice after booking to have my dogs 6 month check up with them. I spoke with someone in reception a day prior and was not informed then that I could not be seen, but I had to arrive on the morning of my appointment to be told. The background is that earlier in the year my dog was severely unwell with gastrointestinal issues and we took him to Medivet, Lewisham. The attending vet on the day, Mr Rok Rozic, handled him extremely poorly and left him in a worse state of distress. We then rushed to a different vet and they were able to handle the situation with much better ease and composure. I raised a complaint against the treatment by Mr Rozic and refused to pay for no treatment that was effectively given. Owing to this they transferred my papers to Medivet, Camberwell without notifying me. Now I wanted to have a 6 month check up for my dog and chose to approach Medivet, Greenwich as that is the next closest vet to us after Lewisham, and we were turned away. Turns out the same person Mr Rok Rozic is also the owner of Medivet, Greenwich. He needed to approve our consult at his clinic and clearly he wouldn’t, although what I was told was that he is in surgery. In my opinion we probably dodged a bullet as I wouldn’t have wanted a consult with him anyway. Added to this, his staff was rude and unapologetic for the situation. The practice itself is poorly maintained and the room that I was taken into to chat with his staff was filled with pet trimmed hair and debris. Wouldn’t recommend them at all.

It was our first visit to Medivet Greenwich, as a first time pet owner I had a lot of questions. We were made to feel at ease, not rushed and felt reassured when leaving, my kitten was even given treats during the consultation so it’s a paws up from him too!

Overcharging and the time it took to refund the difference, plus conflicting advice from different vets at the same practice means we are leaving Medivet Greenwich after 7 years.

Great service, good to go at any time when you have an emergency at night. Good communication with the vets.

I have been using this vet for 18 months. They have become extremely expensive - indeed Solensia injections have been going up monthly for the last 6 months. This month by £12 - the preceding months a little less, but when queried; I was told I should subscribe to some club to stop being ripped off?? I am done, I am changing vet. This coupled with the very rude receptionists, particularly the older lady with the short hair - has made me decide to leave. When I queried the price increases with her, she curtly replied that "things are going up everywhere" - when I commented not every time I visit for the same product - she rolled her eyes and ignored me. She is aggressively rude and uncaring and is a secondary reason for my departure. The surgery itself is very run down, dirty and in a poor state of decoration. Indeed, I have wondered how clean the surgery and care areas are if the customer areas are so uncared for. It's a shame as the veterinarians and nurses themselves are lovely, but then I suppose they have an interest to be so. Such a shame.

I’d like to thank to the Medivet Greenwich team. My cockapoo had a complicated abdominal surgery and Dr Antonio Ramirez Vargas and the whole team supported my puppy with their best knowledge for a speedy recovery. I can’t thank enough to them. The recovery took longer than planned but went well and my pup is healthy and feeling well again.
