I have always been with medivet and they have never let me down so im staying with them

Overall I find the practice to be good, there are just a few areas that could be improved.
1) when you enter you’re not always acknowledged and just left to wait until your called
2) The young vet with black hair, name begins with S is not the most friendly and appears to not be interested in what you’re saying. He’s also not that gentle with my cats
3) again you are often left waiting to pay your bill which has sometimes been up to 10 minutes. I will often ask for a receipt to be emailed to me. This doesn’t always come so I have to chase it up and if it does come then 9 times out of 10 it’s the wrong receipt.
4) the nurses have always been really nice and reassuring and put my mind at ease. I’ve also had some really helpful discussions on the phone with a member of staff when my cat was really poorly.
Some consistency and better communication would go along way. This is still a lot better than my previous vets

The vet missed our dogs serious condition and told us there was nothing seriously wrong. We got a second opinion the next day and our dog is seriously unwell and may not survive.

I think the waiting room would look more inviting with a few plants dotted around the place. It did look clean just a bit sparse.

she is not the friendliest dog whilst at the vets and has to wear a muzzle and David is brilliant with her x

I recently had an appointment where I was left waiting over 45 minutes but I actually arrived 15 mins early so I was there for an hour. When I arrived I said I am early and was just asked to take a seat. No one told me there had been an emergency and you were running at least 30 mins behind. I only live 5 mins away - I would have gone home and come back later or rearranged the appointment for the following day. I heard another couple be advised of the situation when I had already been waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time - this is the only reason I am aware of it at all. My dog was only there for an injection which has previously been administered by a nurse - there appeared to be 2 nurses on the reception desk. I was in with the vet for less than 5 minutes but by this time by dog was extremely nervous due to the amount of time she was waiting in a very cold waiting room. I understand emergencies happen and would have been very happy to work around it if anyone had mentioned it to me. Not 1 person apologised for my wait or took the time to inform me of the issues. Very poor service for us.
