I graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2024. During my studies I have completed an internship at the emergency hospital of the university and took part in study and traineeship mobilities in Poland and Hungary to gain new experiences and to enhance my clinical skills. I did my thesis in the field of internal medicine on the metabolic disturbances of dogs. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, cycling, hiking and going to the cinema. I have recently joined the team at Roston Drive as a graduate veterinary surgeon.

Head Veterinary Nurse

After working for the Retired Greyhound Trust as a teenager, it inspired me to move into a career as a veterinary nurse in 2015. I started working in a veterinary hospital, before moving into a first opinion practice, before finally settling as a Consultation Nurse which is where my passion lies. I enjoy speaking to clients and working with them to help provide the best possible care for their pets.

I have always been interested in the veterinary profession with carrying out work experience at Roston Drive back in 2004!! I then moved to the then Fairfield vets (Leicester Road) where I stayed for 10 years!! I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse back in 2012 after completing my BSc (HONS) degree. After a few years, I gained my certificate in Emergency and Critical Care and worked nights in an emergency hospital which I thoroughly enjoyed!! These days you will find me at either Medivet Hinckley Roston Drive, Leicester Road or Coventry Road as practice manager.

Client Care Assistant

I started my career as a veterinary receptionist in March 2017 working at Vets4Pets in Hinckley where I became Head Receptionist. I really enjoyed my role there but left in 2021 to work at Bell, Brown & Bentley vets as they offered me set hours. Whilst at Bell, Brown & Bentley I completed the Bronze, Silver & Gold BVRA award and became an Associate Veterinary receptionist. I moved to Medivet Roston Drive in May 2023 as it’s much closer to where I live and I can walk to work. I love working as part of the Medivet Roston Drive Team and meeting all the pets and their owners. In my spare time I enjoy walking, spending time with my 4 grandchildren and looking after our 4 cats and a dog.

The consulting room had poo on the floor and was not clean generally. The vet was eating his dinner and had an open food tub on the side.

Ella at the Roston Drive centre in Hinckley is a superb vet as is David.
I changed to Roston Drive as my closer centre on Leicester Road had terrible reception staff attitude and irregular vets. I did not feel that my pet would be safe here. So I switched and am glad to have done so.
The vets are kinder here rather than trying to sell me extra tests as they did in the previous centre and the Roston drive reception staff and nurses know my dog. I feel safe and that is important.

The staff are very friendly and helpful despite not having enough staff ( I know this because ringing in for meds 4 days before and having to chase on day 4 is not right!)
I can’t control the cost of medicines - I do feel that the profit made by Medivet is way over the top and if it wasn’t for the fact they know me and my dog by name - due to how often we are in for treatment or meds- I would look elsewhere. .

ZERO STARS AVOID – Absolutely Disgusted and Heartbroken We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to have our family dog of over 10 years put to sleep. What should have been a peaceful and compassionate goodbye turned into a distressing experiences for me my wife and my dog. After our poor girl was cannulated, we asked for just a few moments alone with her in the private room. We were left waiting for over 40 minutes — our sweet girl trembling, unable to use her back legs, clearly distressed, and just waiting to be put to rest. After 20 minutes I went to the reception to ask for help, only to be met with a cold and dismissive response: “Sorry, he’s with another client now, sometimes that happens.” At 30 minuets I asked again, “he’s done now will be in a moment” I expressed I’m waiting to see my girl off for the final time she’s sat in there this is not fair. Again “these things happen” That kind of indifference is completely unacceptable. There was zero compassion shown to us or to our dog in her final moments. When the vet finally arrived, he simply administered the injection, then turned to me and said, “Her heart’s stopped,” before walking straight out. No words of comfort, no direction about what to do next — just gone, leaving us in shock and grief. This dog was more than a pet — she was family, and one of the reasons I’m still here today. She deserved dignity, respect, and kindness in her final moments as all our pets do! none of which were shown by Medi Vet Hinckley. What used to be a wonderful, caring practice has become a heartless shell of its former self. I will never forgive the way our beloved dog and our family were treated. Absolutely disgusting and utterly disappointing
