The male vet was amazing with our reactive dog. He didn't use a muzzle, which we are glad about because he would have made our nervous dog worse

The vet was fantastic
The reception lady may benefit from training
On one visit she lit the candle and placed the sign that says speak quietly and respectfully yet she spoke loudly and seems completely oblivious to the sign she had just put up !
The second day she was overly friendly / chatty telling me all about her families health problems. Infertility issues, birthdays, it just seemed unprofessional to me to be so overly disclosing of herself !!
I’m sure she is probably a good receptionist but she could do with some training about professional behaviour
I wondered if she would behave differently if someone was there for a worrying issue or loss of a pet - ? Can she exhibit the sensitivity that may be needed at times ?
I think her name is Sarah ? I’m not certain. -
Other reception staff asked if she had completed a task about medication and she said no - I was chatting !!

The team were so welcoming on arrival and the new signage outside the practice looks great. Monika was so understanding and attentive to Blaze, the practice Manager Sarah was on hand for support and reassurance. It was a pleasure to take Blaze to see the team.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional care when it really mattered I visited Medivet Hinckley – Roston Drive yesterday evening with my Bengal cat, Rita, as it was the most local Medivet open on a Saturday. My usual practice is Medivet Bermuda Park, so this was our first visit here — and I honestly couldn’t fault the experience. Booking the appointment was simple and straightforward, and on arrival the clinic was quiet, spotlessly clean, and very well organised. From the moment we walked in, the reception lady was absolutely lovely — friendly, calm, and reassuring, which really helps when you’re worried about your pet. The vet who treated Rita was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and clearly very experienced. Everything was explained clearly, and I really appreciated being given options along with honest recommendations, rather than being rushed or pressured. Rita received three injections (pain relief, anti-nausea and antibiotics), and we were sent home with a course of oral antibiotics to start the following evening, along with a bottle of liquid chicken solution to help with hydration and nutrition — such thoughtful, thorough care. Rita was handled with such kindness and patience throughout, which means everything to me as an owner. You could genuinely tell that her comfort and wellbeing were the priority at all times. The only downside was the cost (£206+ for consultation and medication), which is undeniably expensive — but I do understand that veterinary care isn’t cheap, and there really is no price on your animal’s health. The level of care, professionalism and reassurance we received absolutely reflected the service provided. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice and would happily return if needed. Thank you to the whole team for looking after Rita so well 🐾💙

I visited the two different Medivet’s in Hinckley last week. I was extremely pleased with the care provided by both vets, the receptionists were all friendly and welcoming and I found that everywhere was kept sparkly clean. Thank you so much for helping my cat get better.
