Meet our Partner, Dave Kenyon
After qualifying in 1992 in South Africa, I worked at various practices before coming over to the UK where I worked for Medivet from 1995 to 2000. I returned to South Africa and bought into a small animal hospital in Pretoria, working there for the next 16 years. When my daughter decided to study in London, I contacted Medivet again and took over a group of practices (including Horncastle) in November 2016. I’m married to Roenel, a Veterinary Nurse, and I have a dog called Jessie, who is still in South Africa. In my spare time, I enjoy running, swimming, walking, horse riding, scuba diving, golf and travel.

Have used medivet since moving here. They have been very compassionate with the care of my elderly cat. Also efficient and caring with my youngest cat very recently who needed surgery due to a foreign body. Although not cheap.

Newly, registered, Our 13.5yr old cat has recently had an ear infection and also needed bloods taken as part of ongoing treatment for hyperthyroid. The whole team are lovely and we felt reassured by the vet that he is doing well, even taking bloods was a much less stressful experience for our boy (and us) than previously experiences elsewhere. Thank you!

My cat, Benji, had an infected bite from another cat on his lower back leg. He was in a lot of pain and wouldn't put his paw on the ground to take his weight. Although the vet practice was very busy, they found time to give him an appointment as soon as possible. He was given a thorough examination by two vets and was given a long-acting antibiotic injection and an oral analgesic (painkiller) to be administered by me when he got home. 48 hours later, he was back to his normal self, putting his paw to the ground and not limping at all. I was most impressed by both the care and professionalism of the 2 vets who saw him. I have been to this practice before and would absolutely recommend them.

1st time taking my dog here myself and the staff are very welcoming. Geezer had to be sedated I was updated by telephone very quickly. Tummy rubs and cuddles when he woke... ears are 80% better after 1 day 🙂🐕

Recently joined this practice again, after moving home.
