I graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 and spent three years in mixed practice in Hornsea and Stokesley, before focussing on small animal work in Hull. I spent time at the PDSA in Hull, and then in emergency and critical care, when the opportunity to run the new out-of-hours service came up. Together with my wife, we established Chants Vets in 2006, and built up a thriving practice in the busy location of Chanterlands Avenue in Hull. We joined the Medivet family in 2021. I continue to enjoy providing care for the local community, whether a nail clip or a life-saving operation. I have a special interest in general and orthopaedic surgery, diagnostic imaging and advanced dentistry. At home we have three poodles and a ginger cat to keep me on my toes!

Brilliant help and advice when attending with my cat for her yearly booster, the vet took time to examine and chat about any problems. I've left him and the nurses looking into something for me. Thank you so much

Since this vet was taken over by medivet, I wouldn't go there again. My partner took her dog a few months ago, and they gave her a steroid that could have killed her. She was passing lots of blood for 3 days. Avoid this place like the plague.

Great practice been with them many years from puppyhood to old age RIP with several dogs. Super, friendly, helpful professional staff. Hope the loss of the joke board is just a temporary mistake by the corporate owners. Bring back the joke board.

Good evening. Just today I needed help with my little kitten because it started biting the hair off its paws and started bleeding, so we went to the nearest vet, there were 5 ladies sitting in front of the computer and they said they wouldn't help me because the cat was not registered, the cat was in pain and bleeding, we needed help help immediately but the ladies were very busy sitting in front of the computer and didn't help us at all!! Situations like this should not be allowed!!

Had to wait 20+ minutes for my appointment. Service was okay, but felt like I was being sold additional ‘expensive’ services.

Totally amazing, proffesional, caring. I have used these vets for what must be 20years, I pass over a dozen vets to get to them, I think that says it all.

We have been with this amazing practice for about 20 years - Sarah and her team are truly awesome. Moving to a village near Hedon soon, but I doubt we'll be moving vets!

Pleasant establishment. Although quite a bit of hanging about waiting to pay which can be awkward. The parking is really helpful our old dog gets scared on the busy Avenue so the carparking makes his visits much less stressful. Reception staff need to be more approachable and interactive and try and be more helpful. Appointment texts could be sent when an appointment is made as well as day before attendance. Texts for inoculation boosters need to be reliable as if missed the cost of a restart is extremely high 😕 Overall examination and health check very good. There have been changes since they became Medi Vet. I hope that the texting becomes more reliable now.
