Meet our Partner, Joao Mario Martins Bigares
I graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon in Portugal 16 years ago and have been living in the UK for 10 years, initially working as a companion animal vet while finishing my PhD at Cardiff University. I joined the team at Medivet Llandaff North as a Partner in December 2020. Since arriving in the UK, I've worked in multiple roles as an emergency vet and have been a Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Director. I have a keen interest in emergency surgery, avian and wildlife medicine.

Love the fact Medi vet is now open on a Saturday and Sunday making it so much easier to get an appointment

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The vet was lovely with my dog, he had his jabs and didn’t even flinch and she gave good advice about his allergies
