I just want to whole heartedly say thank you to Medi Vets who came to our rescue on Tuesday after our 13 year old Labrador took a sudden turn for the worse and had to be put to sleep. We couldn’t find any vet to come out to our home due to staff shortages and I couldn’t bear the thought of having to take her into the vets (she hated the vet and all of our dogs have passed away at home) - it would have haunted me for the rest of my life. The vet came out within 45 minutes and was so sensitive, supportive and empathetic, at a time where we felt the ground was disappearing beneath us. She talked us through each stage so we felt assured and less anxious. She handled Darcey with such gentleness and compassion. Our darling girl fell asleep peacefully outside in the sunshine (which was always her favourite place to be), in our arms, surrounded by love, cuddles, kisses and the sounds of us telling her how much we loved her. Her best friend Teddy (our 5 year old cockapoo) was also there in her final hours which would have meant the world to her. It was honestly the best ending Darcey could have had and whilst the grief is strong, we have taken comfort in the fact she had the dignified ending she deserved. Thank you so much for making this very difficult period, so much easier. I would recommend them to anyone who is in a similar situation. The receptionist was also helpful and empathetic. I’m only sorry I can’t recall the vets name to personally thank her - perhaps medi vets can confirm that in any response. Thank you again for everything.

East to locate the practice. Easy parking. Very welcoming and friendly staff.
Helpful with carrying two cat carriers into the treatment room. The vet was lovely and friendly, and calm which helps with keeping two cats calm! She was very thorough with their health checks, and forthcoming in telling me how she wanted me to hold them,and didn't mind me giving them treats to keep them occupied whilst the health check was being carried out.
Good knowledgeable advice given on administering flea and worm treatments.
All in all a very pleasant and calm experience for us and our cats.

I am really happy that despite the vets being part of medivet which some regard as a downside I still get the same excellent service I had with the Horlock Practice in Etnam Street x
