My special interests lie in managing chronic and complex diseases, with a particular passion for internal medicine, endocrinology, cardiology and gastrointestinal health. I find great fulfilment in supporting patients with long-term conditions and working together with their owners to find practical, individual treatment plans that help maintain the best possible quality of life. Always striving to grow, I am currently studying towards a Specialist Certificate in Small Animal Medicine at Harper Adams University, further developing my knowledge and clinical expertise. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy a busy family life in the heart of Lincolnshire, which I now proudly call home. When I moved to the UK, I soon fell in love – not only with the countryside but also with an Englishman who helped me put down roots. Together we are raising our three wonderful children and share our home with our Miniature Schnauzers, Alfa and Echo, who certainly keep life entertaining. Whether I’m exploring the Lincolnshire countryside with my family or enjoying a quieter moment at home, I treasure the balance between my professional passion and family life.

Matthew Fry

Veterinary Surgeon

Matthew qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1988 in New Zealand. He worked in Australia for a few years and then made the move to the UK. Matthew worked in Boston for 7 years before starting up Quarrington Veterinary Surgery in 2003 with his wife. In 2015, he designed and had built the amazing building where we work today! A few years later, Medivet took the reins from Matthew and his Wife and now we have Medivet Quarrington. Outside of work, Matthew is a keen gym goer and loves to walk his dog, Kiwi.

Rose Stanley

Veterinary Surgeon

Rose is one of our Veterinary Surgeons with a particular passion for caring for older pets, helping them enjoy the best possible quality of life through tailored pain management plans and ongoing medical care. She especially enjoys working through challenging medical cases and building long-term relationships with patients and their owners as they navigate health conditions together. Away from the practice, Rose enjoys getting outdoors for long dog walks and is an active roller derby competitor

Gabby

Veterinary Surgeon

Gabby joined the Medivet Quarrington team in May 2026 and leads the practice's veterinary team. She has a strong interest in surgery and enjoys the variety and challenges that surgical cases bring, from routine procedures through to more complex operations. Gabby is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and works closely with the nursing team to ensure the best outcomes for her patients. Away from the clinic, Gabby loves exploring the outdoors on long hikes and spending time with her four dogs, who are always happy to join her on an adventure.

Becci Howard

Veterinary Care Assistant

Becci has been with the practice since 2009. She is currently a Patient Care Assistant but is working towards qualifying in Remedial Canine Massage Therapy and Physiotherapy. She has two rabbits and two dogs named Phoebe and Dilly. Becci is a keen Martial Artist and often shows us some of her training moves!

Lauren Worrell

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Lauren joined us in 2020 as a Patient Care Assistant. She began her nurse training in 2021 and hopes to be qualified in mid 2024. Lauren enjoys diagnostic imaging and theatre. She has an equine background, having spent a year in Australia working with horses before coming to us. She has an adorable little dog named Indie and a ginger cat named George.

Kate Parr

Head Veterinary Nurse

Kate is our Head Veterinary Nurse and has been part of the Medivet Quarrington team since first joining for work experience in 2019. Since then, she has progressed within the practice and is passionate about supporting both her team and patients, helping to ensure every pet receives the highest standard of care. Kate enjoys spending time at her family farm with their two energetic Jack Russell puppies and loves attending concerts with friends whenever she gets the chance.

Christine Newton

Veterinary Care Assistant

Chris is currently working towards her Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) qualification and is a much-loved member of the Medivet Quarrington team. Known around the practice as the "cat whisperer", she has a natural ability to put even the most nervous feline patients at ease, helping to make their visits as stress-free as possible. Her enthusiasm for learning make her a valuable part of the team. When she's not busy caring for patients, Chris enjoys capturing nature through wildlife photography and spending quality time with her cat, Scooby,

Amber

Veterinary Nurse

Amber is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2026. She has a particular interest in socialisation clinics and diagnostics, enjoying the opportunity to help pets develop positive experiences while supporting their ongoing healthcare needs. Amber is passionate about providing high-quality patient care and building strong relationships with both pets and their owners. Outside of work, Amber enjoys keeping active and can often be found at the gym.

Trisha

Veterinary Nurse

Trisha is one of the newest additions to the Medivet Quarrington team and has already become a valued member of the nursing team. She has a particular interest in dental care and especially enjoys performing scale and polish procedures, helping to improve pets' oral health and overall wellbeing. When she's not caring for patients, Trisha enjoys staying active with regular gym sessions and spending time with her much-loved kitten, Lime, who is always keeping her on her toes.

Lynette Balchin

Client Care Assistant

Lynette joined the team in 2021. She has worked in the industry for over 20 years so has lots of experience. At home she has two beautiful Labradors named Elsie and Ruby. In her spare time, Lynette loves DIY and is currently renovating her home. She is our go-to lady for anything relating to the Health Care Plan that we offer for your pets.

Angie Holdaway

Client Care Assistant

Ange started with us in 2022 as a Client Care Assistant. Ange has previous experience in the Veterinary field having worked in the industry since 2018. She has two grown up boys and four Grandchildren, whom she adores. She has a Labradoodle puppy named Bruce and loves all the animals! You may hear Ange’s name as our go-to insurance lady.
